Clipping on macOS Sierra does not work

Hey! I already reported the annotation issue and found another bug. I don't know if it's reported yet.

When I clip a PDF on iOS or Windows the pdf get's fully loaded in the note. It also shows on my Mac.

When I clip a PDF on macOS Sierra this happens:

It seems the PDF wasn't fully loaded to the note. When I double-click it says the PDF is broken.

AHHHHH! HELP! I got my Mac like 5 days ago and I tried Evernote like 5 days ago too and immediately chose the premium version. However I didn't know there would be so many bugs with macOS Sierra. Sadly it's not possible to downgrade the OS anymore cuz Apple deleted the download from the AppStore and I also have no backup. I really need Evernote for the university.

I can't even get the web clipper to complete the save on a pdf

My work-around is to use the Safari Save As to download the pdf to my import folder

I am running the latest version of Sierra, EverNote, and EverNote WebClipper. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the WebClipper in Safari, but it is still not working.

Everytime I click the EverNote WebClipper Safari button a new tab opens that is a duplicate of the tab I'm on, but nothing saves to EverNote.

WebClipper continues to work fine in Google Chrome. So, my work around is to open the same page in Google Chrome and use WebClipper there.

For the record -

  • new prices did go up;  there were concessions for existing long-term users
  • "storage space" was NOT reduced
  • Basic (free) users get to connect via 2 simultaneous devices which,  unless you have more than two sets of hands,  should be adequate for most users.  There is no such restriction for paid users.

Don't know what the situation is with Safari - last I heard a new clipper had been submitted for approval,  so maybe an update / reinstall will work this time.  If not,  I'd suggest you contact support directly if you're a paying subscriber at https://help.evernote.com/hc/requests/new (premium subscribers can chat from the same link) - or message them on Twitter via https://twitter.com/evernotehelps (They also like bug reports.)

Most ridiculous argument I've heard so far for a bizar move

The "two sets of hands" was an argument to your complaint of coping with the simultaneous device limits

As to the move by Evernote to simultaneous device access for non-paying users
- Its been discussed in other forums.
I don't see it as bizarre. It was a calculated move to

  1. motivate users to pay for their use of the service
  2. cut operating costs

>>and limited the amount of storage

Where did you get the idea that Evernote was limiting the amount of storage space.  My understanding is there is no limit - I can use my maximum upload each month
