I couldn't find any alternative that pleases me that also includes accepting to import the Evernote files. If you have, I like very much to hear about it.

Totally agree, but to what have you changed? The search of Evernote is rather top of the game. Have you found a satisfying alternative?

So, it is still locally stored on the PC? But why version 10 is so slow? The idea should be that it has access to the local files and sync with the EN servers without connecting to the EN servers for each note.

It seems to work, so far, still syncing. Thanks. However, I noticed that the 10 version is no longer using the *.exb file. In other words, the 10 version is nothing else than a polished web version? This explains why it is so slow and so limited in features. Does that mean that EN will finish with creating a desktop version?

Watch out with the Legacy version. I had sync issues. Moved my *.exb file and expected it to get synced but with the Legacy version it is no longer happening and I am obliged to be stuck with version 10 because no longer support for Legacy. Terrible! And legacy was so great!

I have both installed. On the 10 version, I have 32000 notes, and on the Legacy version 822, which are the notes that I last updated. And Sync is not running, and when I click on it, only the last updates appear. My *.exb file was 180GB, and now it is 1 Gb.

The bottom line is that they have kicked out the Windows version. The 10 version is, in fact, not a windows version. It's a web version because no longer your data is saved on a *.exb file. I suppose this comes with many limitations to which we got so used for so many years. This also explains why the 10 version is awfully slow while I have an internet connection of 600mbps. How to kill your own product? The perfect case study is Evernote.

Keep dreaming. "within weeks". Yeh, right. There is a ton of things that needs to be solved. It's a total disaster. This is so bad made that they have put EN back 10 years. I can't imagine how you keep defending this EN management.

Totally agree. I cannot believe that people even work with this *****. It is the same for the Android version. I went back to the Legacy version and will wait until the very last moment to change to version 10. But, indeed, it is incredible what they have done with Evernote. They have destroyed a solid product. Then you have all these Level 5 members replying for whatever thing. Are they paid for doing that? How can they not be frustrated as many of us? The whole Evernote thing baffles me. I can't get my head around it. How can you put something like that on the market?

I think it's the wrong strategy from the very beginning. Neither you have 1 car that fits all terrains. You have SUVs, sportscars, sedans, pickups. Try to combine a sportscar with an SUV. Of course, you will need to jeopardize both. With the legacy version, we had a sportscar that needed some (heavy) tweaking, but now we have something that is not even close to a sportscar. Why trying to have all features on all systems? What's the use of Import Folders on Android if you have it on Windows? Why Windows users have to be affected by a feature because it cannot be implemented on Mac? Now you have frustrated window/mac/android users generating lengthy never-ending forum posts.

Sharing from Netflix is not working with newest version. It appears as all saved on the normal way with confirmation that it is saved but it does't appear on andoid, nor web, windows

What's the point of having two EN side by side? I don't understand Version 10. Let say you have a Mercedes, a decent car you can trust with some good quality German technology. With a new version, you expect the same car with some extra features. Version 10 looks like a Mercedes, but when you drive it, you feel that it is not as powerful as the previous version, then you find out that the paint is falling off, that the rearview mirror breaks off. In other words, it´s an awful copy of a real Mercedes. It is like the first Chinese car when copying western cars ... 30 years ago. However, this version 10 has been made by the same EN people. So? Don´t they know their own product? Have they deliberately kill their own product? Have they become incompetent? Those are not sarcastic questions. Those are honest - scratching my head - questions which totally blows my mind. Am I the stupid guy, or are they the stupid ones? What is the logic behind all this?

Thanks, it appeared to be Microsoft's setting that directs you to the Microsoft store where I can download the EN, but the latest version. Now back on track with the old version. I can breathe again and move on with my work. Let's hope EN staff will start working very hard to fix the thousands of issues.

I wonder, is this kind of complaint getting to the hears of EN staff? We can continue complaining and trying to help out each other, but it would be helpful if this can get into the hands of EN staff and get feedback on their solutions. Will this come on the top 10 or end up in their top 100, which perhaps after years it will be solved. Without feedback from the EN staff, it is only adding to the frustrations.
