Hi
Thanks for your conciliatory post re: transition from Legacy to V10. I'm an unsophisticated academic user who has found EN invaluable as a searchable filing cabinet. Following up on your kind offer of help for V10 newbies: I held off transitioning from old Evernote as I was used to working on several notes at once, open in new windows. I can't see how to do this in V10. Is it possible?

I have a Windows 10 laptop and an Android phone
1/10/24 Evernote somehow had devices added to my free Evernote account.
I can only have 2. It showed 3.
I removed one two different times. That got both devises working.
Then another 3rd device was somehow added.
When I tried to remove it received error message you can only remove 2 devices a month.
Now I can't see my notes on my Android phone, I can still see them on my laptop.
Can you help me get my free Evernote working on my phone?
It has not worked since 1/10/24.

Hi. Evernote seems to recognise devices by IP address, so on a phone (forinstance) it can mistake access from a different area or via wifi rather than mobile as being a new device. Unfortunately I don't know a way around the restriction - if you exceed the device limit and don't have enough unlocking options, then the inly ways around the block are to wait it out, or to subscribe (even if inly for one month...)

I had signed up for Evernote over a year ago while at another company. I was just automatically charged by Evernote and I have not used it for over a year. I don't have that work email any longer and cannot seem to find a way to get in touch with someone to help me cancel and get a refund for something I don't and haven't used. The website is terrible, no numbers, chat doesn't help, I can't submit a ticket.

You have found a way... try https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?guest=true - use the issue type "Account" - that's via Support who are likely understaffed because it's the year-end / holidays, and overworked because of that and recent changes to the app. It's going to take a while to get a response, but I'd be confident you will get your payment back. (I'm just another user, not an employee!)

My issue is exactly like that of 2methylethel Posted in July 2021. I noticed that you reacted to her request. I used the link you provided, but I’m not finding the solution. Please, see below:

Like her, I have used up my 2 unsyncs for this month. I also got an email saying that phone was revoked. But the fact is it wasn’t. Please help as you did for her on July, 2021… Thanks... Herman

I have a basic plan, which means I can use only 2 devices. I want to use Web and my iPhone. I recently switched iPhones. When I signed in to Evernote on the new one, it asked me to revoke one of the 3 devices so that I could still use Evernote. I revoked my old iPhone. I received an email: Device successfully revoked. Then it said I got signed out of Evernote. So I signed back in on my new iPhone. Within a minute, the pop-up appeared again asking me to revoke one of the 3 devices. The old iPhone was still on the list. I revoked the old iPhone again. I received another email: Device successfully revoked. Then I got signed out of Evernote. So I signed back in on my new iPhone. It asked me to revoke one of the 3 devices but then said that I have passed the limit for revoking devices within a month. This is unfair as I was trying to revoke the same device twice because of a glitch that Evernote seems to have (i.e. it things it successfully revoked the device, enough to send me a confirmation email, but then doesn't actually do it, hence the popups). Looking for a solution. Thanks. C.
Then on August 15, 2021
Finally got a result. I contacted @evernotehelps via Twitter on July 29. They responded on Aug 2 - I gave them the email for my account on Aug 7 and on Aug 11 they had revoked my third device for me. So far looks like things are working now.

Can you help me out with a quick issue?
I had an original EN account that I maxed out with 100,000 notes and then I have my current EN account.
I synced my original EN account (the maxed-out one) to a certain folder on my D drive.
1: Are there supposed to be only three folders in the folder? "Crashes," "Databases," and "Logs?"
2: It's obvious that the e[myname].exb file contains all the actual data, since it's many, many GB of data and every other file is tiny. Why is everything packed into that one file? What is the purpose of that?
3: How do I know that all 100,000 notes are in that file? (I can't count the notes to double-check, since they are all compressed into that single .exb file.)

New to this forum (Or any forum for that matter) and having problems with Notes on my Apple watch. On the computer I can see the entire content of a particular note. On my watch initially (few weeks ago) I could see all the content as well. Recently, the last part of some notes are missing. I just now updated, unpaired, wiped clean, re-paired, re-installed Evernote and the issue is still there. I looked at where the information drops off and there are no obvious (To me) reasons why.
Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Hi. It's always best to post in the Forum on questions like these - most of the responders (including me) are just other users, though usually with a lot more experience of various version of Evernote. Sadly I've never used the Apple Watch and it sound pretty much like you've already done the standard first-aid stuff I'd try. Someone else out there may have better ideas!

A few days ago you suggested that I try to download the latest version of Evernote directly from the Web because I could not get the update function to work. Idid so and then thanked you for providing a simple solution.
However this has resulted in a new problem. Not all my notes have been included in the latest version. My files seem to be all there but new notes only shown up to mid August.
Do you have a solution.

when I email something to evernote it is not going to the default notebook consistently. sometimes it seems that evernote tried to guess where it should go. sometimes it does a pretty good job of guessing! but then I have to look through all the notes to make sure that they get to the right place. how can I make sure that emails go to the default notebook? thanks.

Hi - I replied to a query like this a while ago; apologies if it was you - the Forum only just told me I had this message...... sorry for the slow response!
The only way I know of to guarantee that Evernote sends stuff to the correct notebook each time is to add @<yournotebook> to the subject line. There's a 'smart filing' option where Evernote guesses where to put stuff, and you can toggle this from the settings page if you want. Lots more information here - How to save email into Evernote

Hi. I'm trying to move a lot of notes from a Galaxy S6 Edge to a Galaxy S7 Edge. I have the app on my S7, but the notes didn't transfer. I've tried syncing through my computer, but it only shows notes from 2013. There must be some way to transfer all these notes from one phone to another. Would you help me? I don't have great technical skills, so step-by-step is probably the best way for me. I'm sorry for having to ask. Thanks for helping me.

Hi. If these notes are all in Evernote, then that should be pretty much automatic - sync your S6 Edge with Evernote's server, then exit the app. Open Evernote on your S7 and sync again, and you should have easy access. Bear in mind that actual notes aren't downloaded to your phone - just an index so you can search for the content you need. Search for the content of your most recent notes and they should be there. If you're having problems with that, take a look at Evernote on a laptop/ desktop - go to Evernote.com in your browser and look for your notes. You'll be seeing the server copy of your account; so if the notes aren't there, the S6 is having a problem uploading them. If the notes are there, then the S7 is having a problem with downloads. And always make sure you're using the correct login details in each case - your normal user name and password. Hope that helps - let me know if it doesn't.

Could you please help me in an issue with Evernote?
I'm trying to send some of my e-mails to Evernote, as a note and using the Evernote e-mail address defined in my account.
I can do it with a new e-mail that I create in Outlook and I can do it with other e-mails that I simply forward to the Evernote e-mail address.
Nevertheless there is one particular e-mail that I cannot receive in Evernote. I forward it as I do with the others, it appears on the "Send" paste of Outlook but it never appears in Evernote.
Could you please help me with this issue?

Hi Ricardo. There's no obvious reason why one email address should fail while others work fine, but it could be that the email service you're using for that email is coding the content in some way that Evernote's mail software doesn't like, or their spam filter is preventing the email getting through. If you're using a company email service, the company firewall might block emails to Evernote, or treat the outgoing email as potential spam too.
The best folks to help you with this are Evernote support - they can check the email system from their end to see whether the emails were blocked for some reason. When you contact support I'd suggest you give the name of the email service you're trying to use.

How does this profile feed work - Visible to all? I was curious is I could respond to a forum members public question - when I might have a better answer as a business notebook admin for my firms ENBusiness account - but I want to reply only to the member, or member/moderators, is that possible?
