Evernote Team, I've been receiving security alerts from Google indicating that Evernote has access to my Google Contacts and Calendar data. The alert recommends that I remove any risky third-party apps that have access to my Google data. I have been a happy Evernote user for many years and trust that Evernote takes data security seriously. However, these Google alerts can be concerning for users. I wanted to kindly ask if the Evernote team could issue a public statement or third-party access verification to Google to reassure users that Evernote's access to Google data is legitimate, necessary for the service, and properly secured. I think this would help alleviate any user concerns stemming from these Google security alerts. Evernote's clarity and transparency around third-party data access would be greatly appreciated and help maintain user trust in this area. Thank you in advance for your consideration. Recently, I had to reinstall Evernote completely to fix a JavaScript error, which I was successful in resolving. However, I noticed that the dictionary is now labeled as "en-GB-oxendict-10-1.bdic". It would be greatly appreciated if Evernote could automatically handle this issue or allow users to continue using the current workaround. I don't intend to come across as arrogant or demanding, but as paying customers, we expect Evernote to assist us with our quality specs. Wishing all the best and greatest.

I type in English and Spanish, and luckily found a nice Spanish dictionary under C:\Users\[user]\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\es-ES-3-0.bdic, followed your steps and worked like a charm. I have the paid version, and I don't know how to request to Evernote to add dictionaries for all the people that speak more than one language. No more red underlines. GraceToU

Thanks for awareness, PinkElephant. Learning curve here. So this means, that using the word "Official" should be given to official staff? or this post should it be on different category? And also, how do I ask for support? (what are the appropriate channels?)

I have a couple of computers, one is Linux (Where EN works well, still waiting for more speed and response times), and the other is a Samsung Rf511 with Intel Pentium iCore7 and Windows 7 (an extremely fast version that runs smoothly with a good firewall and antivirus) and today, I was using my w7 laptop and all of a sudden got the Java error after updating to version "Evernote-10.44.8-win-ddl-ga-3632-36e33ef8ac-setup" downloaded first at "E:\Users\{user}\AppData\Local\evernote-client-updater\pending" So, I won't deny I have to update my OS, but in the meanwhile. I let everybody know that version 10.42.7 still works on my Windows 7and will remain on it till I migrate to a more modern OS. (Pink Elephant, I listened, just give me some time bro or sis?)

Thanks Bro, just that Mr Billy made a good W7 (was a freer OS), after Windows 10 is flooded with monitoring software and commercials. Have you heard what they saiy in the economic forum about NWO?

I so love Windows 7, it is extremely fast and simple w/o so much monitoring software or commercials. Where can I find the previous functioning version? Or just run it on the web? Such a tragedy 😩

Grace to all, from God our father: I am happy to report that Evernote got faster in Windows7-SP1 & Android11. (sadly, I cancelled my paid subscription, but still got this year for EN to persuade me to re-enroll if they reach my specs) Is good to point what's bad but is better to report what's good. For me, has been, and continues to be, a challenge to continue to use EN for my enterprise workflow. I stop using ever note for my task management and started using it as a reference library tool, but even as a reference library, it was unacceptably slow (not so for the previous super fast EN developed in C++ language). Today the app offered an update and it was refreshing to notice an improved performance and speed. I still want EN to exceed TODOIST's speed (which is fast enough for me: 2 sec max or faster response to capture o retrieve info actions) on its cloud-based application. I travel throughout Mexico using Walmart's cellular network "BAit" (through Mexican Co. Altan Networks grid) and TODOIST response is blazing fast, which is good when short lived ideas come to mind and they need to be captured immediately or sometimes I need a quick response when I'm interacting with clients. Nonetheless an improvement in speed. Thanks to the developers of EN, may God share with you his unlimited intelligence.

I really can't understand why EN is doing this, the were not making enough money? Click-Up seems to be a good alternative for GTD

I definitely agree with you in speed. e.g. to capture an idea, I pull my GTD Wallet with notebook in less than 2 seconds, but if that's missing I got to pull my cellphone, but EN 10 takes more than 15 seconds aprox. to load up, by that time idea is forgotten, opportunity is gone.

Thanks, Revealing stuff. Now that we have one platform for all SO's communication between us is a BIG plus for improvement in user communication and empowerment. In the past it was a mess of missing options between MS & Apple, so it was harder to help others in EN due to the differente SO, but now seems to be more homogenous.

LOL So, we get what we are focused on, so let's focus on what is right with our beloved EN. - I noticed on my TUSK EN for windows that when I was processing my GTD Inbox the notes stayed in view, in other versions of EN, the note would disappear from view as soon as I move it to another notebook which was a "Sh*t forgot to add something to the note" which require go hunting and waste my precious life/time finding the slippery note. LOL So like that the note stays in view now. Happy Will continue adding items to the list. GMP to all.

DTLow, thanks for for reply. I have an electrical installation company and managing other 2 companies. So project management is a constant. Love the way EN_grace_mode is able to let me have granular notes tagged by project and action_mode attached. In the Law_mode_EN is too slow, buggy, notes missing, today I was unable to add notebooks to the shortcuts (I feel like pulling my hair, scream and throw my laptop in trash can) although I am able to comprehend (not completely) what EN is trying to accomplish by moving to an electron app java based instead of the superfast & robust C++ platform, but I guess it was a nightmare to make apps for every SO/Browser. Sorry friend, I'm venting with you LOL. And as amazing as this sounds, EN TUSK for linux is surprisingly less buggy. It should be the other way around for paid software. LOL

Shane, I'm sending God's greatest wisdom to guide you through the process of making EN one the greatest apps again.

Hi David, interesting comment. I've been exploring ClickUP (on the complex side) MS To Do and/or OneNote; Google Aps and now Notion comes to my awareness. Here's an idea: what if we create a forum (outside EN obviously) to evaluate the best software for the GTD System?

It hurts a little bit to do this, but I'm moving to MS To-Do. I purchased a license for MS 365 and will take advantage of that. I really sorry to do this, I love you all, but I got love myself also. It been horribly difficult to run my business with all the new bugs, major changes and specially the speed reduction is a big deal for me, specially for my GTD system. I would be checking to see how you guys improve, maybe we can reconcile in the future, and I will purchased the premium again. Wishing you all the best... A business is not a charity organization, although businesses are under their own law, and we signed the user terms, (we also have the power to execute rights and obligations under these terms). But still is cumbersome to support EN in this massive change in their technology. Quality is about reaching customer specs. I would be very happy to continue doing business with EN, but I would be happier if they restored all or most the features previously contained in past technologies.

Man, I would love to have a way to backup my data. Evernote is making fundamental changes to their platform.
