  1. Wow, these are major issues as well and will keep me away from re-installing EN 10.5 again to my devices for some time. I think when trying Evernote 10.5 on real world Android devices EN staff would figure out, that they are doing highly wrong. I can only imagine their whole testing and playing around is performed on virtual machines. Therefore they also do not see the extreme lagging performance...virtual machines maybe much faster... well I wonder if Evernote staff uses Android devices at all. From the beginning with the announcement of Evernote 10 for iOS in 2020 the whole Evernote 10 product was built for the iOS-world first. Somewhen they started to focus a little bit more on the windows client as well...but integrating gui behaviour and keyboard shortcuts from the apple world.... Android development comes the very last in priority in my perception.

    Yes, Evernote 10.5 is broken for many many users. This is reflected in this forum and in play store also. Even support being asked does not deny this. You're only choice now is to manually roll back to EN 8.13.3 via an APK-installation. You can get the old version for example at https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/evernote-corporation/

  3. I raised a ticket telling all bugs that prevent me from getting to working with EN10.5.1 on all of my Android 10 devices:

    - extreme slow performance (app starts 15-20 seconds, freezes, key presses with no reaction)

    - offline notebooks not downloaded, accessing EN10.5.1 offline results into crash

    - images in notes after short usage of the app not displayed no matter how often installed and deinstalled or logged on/off

    As a premium customer I think a functioning app is something one could expect, some functionality (e.g. offline use) we explicitly pay for. I asked for a roll back to EN 8.13.3. I think Evernote should offer a parallel legacy option in play store as with windows until this app gets somewhere closer to "ready".

    In this case maybe just a mistake... but....this is also somehow symptomatic for how Evernote is handling the Android eco system. I tried 10.5 on my several Android 10 devices. On all devices I had to deinstall it eventually because of not being able to actually use Evernote in a resonable way (extremely slow and regular gui freezes). In my perception Evernote treats Android like a nasty eco system they unfortunately have to deal with ... but are not enthusiastic about at all. They seem to be focussed on iOS as they are focussed on US customers and english speaking users in general. That is a little frustrating for me as on of the "other users". Just an opinion of one.

  5. In Android play store they announce adding support for Android V 6, 7, 8 and 9 in a future update. As I also cannot imagine they will get their performance issues addressed completely due to the new programming approach, the actual android version is no indication of more or less device performance. So if they adapt it to the older framework it might even work for you @Mahdi - Noorhoseinilater 🙂

  6. Hi, the image loading is still not fixed for me on 10.5. Even after a fresh install I only get images for a short while. After clicking some notes in Evernote it eventually renders to the known problem: images not shown, but only the error message we knew since 10.4 and older. Can anyone confirm having the same problem even with 10.5?

    By the way the release notes did not say this was resolved but @Shane D.marked it solved.

    Exactly same here. Announcing but not delivering does not appear the most professional approach to me. What I do not understand is, that EN keeps going on to announce EN 10 in play store with all the images of the new gui even for EN8.13.3 stuck users without any comment on that it is only rolled out to a little range of users. I understand that they did not dare to deliver it to the masses .... bug reports prove this was a good decision. But why do you announce to the general public - and keep going on doing so - if you cannot deliver?

  8. I think @Efelantewas not asking for a new feature as Home - but for a simple option to choose which is the starting screen. I think they surely will bring the "Home"-view to Android. But this does not answer the request of free choice (e.g. favorite notebook, inbox, even a custom filter or search) for app startup. I can think of many use cases this would be useful. Especially now, as they don't make use of the Android widget capabilities any more which is extremely disappointing. All the years on EN <10 we could jump directly to a note or notebook on startup from the custom widgets - This could be a workaround for @Efelantefor the original request. So maybe downgrading to EN 8.13.3 and using customized widgets on Android homescreen could be the answer for now.

  9. Hi, if you scroll through the forums you will see, this has been a veeeery long asked feature of the community. Evernote silently resisted on implementing such an option on Evernote legacy all the years...with Evernote 10 there are even less options..if it is useable at all. So I think there is little chance, we will ever see such - absolutely useful and on the other hand simple to integrate - option.

  10. Even on EN10.8.4 auto-sync not reliable. Example: From time to time clipped content does not show up on the EN-windows-client until I restart the client completely. That is bad and the opposite of what is claimed by Evernote for the best-of-all-times EN10-client. I would appreciate either programming a reliable sync service (app / server knowing, that it has not synced for xxxx time and doing it really automatically) or please re-add the sync button for us users. Thank you!

Hi, since EN10 is not being rolled out anymore even on Android 10 and 11 devices because of major issues even with 10.4 I think the roadmap for targeting older Android versions could be very very long term... Support has been asked by me several times over the last weeks and they have no information when EN10 will be available for all customers on Android 10+11 devices. I think for older OS we have to be very patient.

  12. I am experiencing the same on EN 10.8.4 windows and web, absolutely no search anymore.

    What really scares me: all notes are downloaded to offline cache, but the client is 0% capable of pulling any information off that. We clearly see, we have a 100% online service. Anything little going wrong on Evernote's side can end main functionality immediately.

    Seeing that, actually there is no alternative to EN legacy which still searchs my data very well at this moment. Highly recommend EN legacy to all, that have to get instant access to search again

  13. Hi, when I add some pictures in a note they do not have a blank line between them. Before 10.7.6 I could click on a photo, press enter and then there was a blank line added between photos/pictures so I could add text. Now when I select a picture and press "Enter" the picture is deleted. So adding text between pictures is somehow hardly possible anymore. You have cut the photo out. Add a line, then paste the image back. What?! This seems to be introduced in web as well with the actual update. I am quite frustrated since adding several pictures and lateron commenting to them is a regular use case for me.

  14. Today I started a new support request. Here is a cutout of the answer:

    "...I am sorry to inform you that I have no exact date of when it will be available to more users. I know that we should release it to more users, especially to Premium customers, and you can rest assured that our team is working on fixing the known issues we currently have in this new client, in order to release a product that will satisfy our customer's expectations. I appreciate your continued patience and understanding..."

    It seems there are still some major issues that prevent them from deciding to roll out to all users. So week 8 and pending...
