  1. I've only learned a couple of things on this forum: 1. There have been major problems with technical support lack of response for a couple of years. 2. EverNote still doesn't care. I have been a premium subscriber for 10 years, and I can't get any sort of response. My program became unusable for a week, and then note contents could only be viewed if I logged off and then logged on again (this wonderful info from the user group). 3. The Support phone number does not work. Read it, and tried it anyway. Indeed, there is no phone support. 4. Chat support does not work, eve
  2. It looks like no matter where you search on the users forum, comments vary between "I hate it" and "I hate it a lot." There is essentially nothing in the way of tech support. Their approach, which seems to be one of contempt for its large cadre of paid users, is unacceptable. Essentially, it's "Your response has been recorded" (meaning it's recorded, but we'll ignore it). We're welcome to come to this forum and vent, which may, just perhaps, lower blood pressure, but the company seems to have no interest in retaining loyal, long-term users. I'm in the process of porting all my notes to On
  3. If you google "Evernote Problems" it will be quite apparent that this company is not long for this world. They've essentially dropped any efforts for customer support, and I suspect they may have let go the people who might have been motivated and skilled enough to undo the complete mess they've made of their latest update. Just so you know, (at least until EverNote inactivates export to hold us hostage) you can quite painlessly export all your folders to your hard drive, and then import them to other programs. I chose to use the (completely free!) OneNote, from much-derided Micro$oft. Jus

  5. I'll certainly look into it. It's amazing to have a paid subscription (not a corporate one, since I'm a semi-retired academic) and no access to any EverNote tech support. Their latest "update" trashed a number of features. I have used it to store jpg files to incorporate into my lectures, but now there's no longer a cut & paste option. The search function has also been trashed. You can't search within a notebook (you're forced to search all notebooks) but even then, it won't search, even the titles, never mind content. Thanks Chronistin for the tip on Notes. There are many, man
  6. So how do I get to the discussion on the new, "non-improved" version? If the bugs are not fixed, I'll be porting my data to another platform and cancelling my now-useless subscription
  7. I've run into exactly the same problem. It seems to have started with the last update. You can't search (on a Windows 10 desktop or Windows 10 laptop, both 64-bit). In addition, it's very, very slow to add notes. Something seems to have gone drastically wrong with this update. Anybody know if Evernote plans to address these issues? If not, I for one, will need to switch platforms. OneNote reportedly has an import feature that works. Re: dialogue above - The program worked perfectly well until the last update. Logic would dictate that if the software is now malfunctioning on se
