  1. Hi all, saw Federico post on Twitter that calendar changes are soon coming - looks interesting. https://x.com/fedesimio/status/1752400352500977840?s=46
  2. Yeah that’s definitely been tweaked, text is darker now. I still have .2.72 hoping I get the update pushed today, too lazy to download it as last time I forced an update it didn’t go happy.
  3. Im still on 10.72.2 and the note title column is resizable for me there. Its a bit to the left of where it might be expected but it is there and working for me.
  4. I do recommend you try it live as it were, I think that far clearer font does compensate a bit for other changes. Though I will continue pushing to greater contrast it’s not as bad as I first thought it would be. Though my eyes are only aging so my comments are not as important as others are here - accessibility is vital and why for me many of the markdown fad editors are struggling.
  5. Confession - I didn’t watch the video 😬 - now I will though….intrigued. I do hope that since they seem focused on user issues than backend stuff this year we get some of the wanted basics - collapsible headers would be awesome for me.
  6. As a few have pointed out, enex is actually notes gold in a sense because all the competitors want it. Obsidian, Joplin, Amplenote and a host of others. The frustrating thing is whilst the competitors want our enex files their software can’t do as much with that data.
  7. Yeah ai isn’t my thing really, it could be useful if it worked as intended. I find anytime I ask it a question its never able to load the answers. It just stays blank. So I don’t really use it because I can’t and because I can’t it’s not part of any workflow decision or use.
  8. Hi I have come across the odd conspiracy regarding Evernote not being mentioned on the Bending Spoons product page etc, somehow this was a sign of bad intentions or something something. I noticed whilst snooping around the site today that this has now changed - Bending Spoons | Products
  9. I forgot to mention the font in my post - its so much better, its bigger, better spaced and great for me reading as my eyes are aging and I really should have glasses but refuse to pay until I absolutely need em.
  10. Ok I am finally at the office and able to use the new ui more. A few thoughts Pro - It is clean, it feels fresh and I have to say I really like the dark mode and that the note itself has a pure dark background. Some of the lag I had with things like the note animation lagging (the pop up note task etc on the sidebar) - the lag is gone. Could be improved - It seems there are some new transition effects when heading to home screen for instance, I dont mind these but they need to be a bit faster than they currently are. I still think the sidebar text should be pure black or white to increase readability. Thats me so far, gotta say I really do like the dark mode.
  11. It’s gonna be a trade off when it comes to accessibility - options to tweak things would be best here I think. I have a, I guess what could he termed a neurodevelopmental disability and I find the new home much easier, but others might have the opposite especially if it’s vision issues and not sensory. I think they should have options to tweak these things.
  12. That’s a good question! In some ways it’s difficult to quantify but things that stand out - I like the removal of padding from the home page, it feels more spacious and less busy for me despite providing the same level of information. I’ve been indifferent to the black sidebar but I think the gray one adds to that feeling of space as it matches the Home Screen. I’ve not tested it massively yet but my main concern as I said is they need to deepen the black where the gray background is, thankfully that’s not an issue in the note itself which is either pure white or black.
  13. I’m able to test it now, have to say I do like it, it’s clean and to ,stools good. I think the font on the navigation pane needs to be as dark black as possible for readability tho.
  14. I have to say it I read the word ‘nevernote’ one more time I just might smash my device, I don’t know why but it’s not clever it’s just really irritating, like nails on a chalkboard irritating. I don’t want to read peoples terrible attempts at wit and puns whilst they complain about whatever injustice has so crippled their lives. Sorry lol I’m lurching into rant
  15. The blog is the first proper pictures I’ve seen, personally I think it looks good, clean, I think the text on the navigation pane needs to be darkest black possible tho for accessibility. Look forward to testing it out!
  16. Oft it looks like you’re right! The two device limit is gone which is great news for anyone who used Evernote but doesn’t want to currently, no restriction to accessing their data now if this is correct.
  17. This is me too, I don’t consider a feature a feature unless it works on more than desktop. I need consistency on mobile and tablet and Joplin is perhaps the worst of all when it comes to this.
  18. That’s interesting because in my use case it’s the exact opposite. Evernote is the only app that maintains formatting and keeps fonts consistent for me. It will keep all the formatting for instance when I copy and paste into mail whilst keeping text formatting consistent with the text already in the mail. Onenote posts formatting but carries font so it’s a mess Obsidian does neither Craft carries formatting but not font I could go on, this is a big thing for me as copying out to send in mail is something I do a lot in my work.
  19. What a bizarre interpretation. I encourage you to take a step back and get some reality based context! A mess? They have bought a company with apparently 1 billion downloads, that was a fast 500 company in 2021 with a portfolio of apps ripe for ai development and your interpretation is that’s a mess? If mess is having 100 to spend, can my life be your kind of mess please??
  20. Joplin? Markdown restricted formatting, no ocr, no mail in notes (unless you pay), no great export options for pdf etc, no tasks…. Joplin is a great idea in theory but it isn’t an Evernote replacement, it’s the next step up from pen and paper.
  21. Ah, I was thinking it was text formatting, which oddly doesn’t transfer to word either but does fine to other apps. I’m not sure if any app that copy’s images like that I’m afraid. Most don’t even maintain formatting of text.
  22. I wondered when this would happen. The word thing is puzzling, I’ve seen this too, it’s odd as formatting for Evernote holds well on email and other pastes, just not word for some reason. Would an intermediate app work? Ie Evernote, paste to mail, paste to word? I’ll try it out but that should be resolvable without the hassle of trying to use another system.
  23. Evernote seems to have its own team now, not sure how big it is, hopefully they are not impacted by any of this, if they can afford 100 million to buy it surely they can staff it (hopefully!).
  24. Only took a month! You need to write tips! Seriously though, glad it’s sorted. I really hope in q1 this year support substantially improves. Premium prices should equal premium product and support.
  25. Oft another update from Jon on Reddit - Mosiac for 100 million! https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2024-01-10/iac-divests-mosaic-apps-to-bending-spoons-in-deal-valued-at-100-million-plus?leadSource=uverify wall At least this time they are telling the staff upfront they are sacked…i guess…. Acquisitions are ruthless. So much for the failing company with over priced subscription apps no one pays for….
