Damn, Chinese EN mind map tool looks cool.

Also, Chinese EN boasts about global reach. I presume Chinese users are not aware what happens abroad.

Last time I downloaded it took less than 1 minute.

Fresh from today.

Write a task, then only first character left.

OK, lets try again, wrote again, went to other note, came back and similar issue.

I am correcting my stament. The file is usable. BUT:

The file is opened outside EN. This is not necessary a bad thing. Player on PC or Android got better controls. 

But I got two concerns:

1. Does Opening file on PC or Android downloads it to the device and then it stays there? (some kind of cache, or temp folder).

2. The behavior cannot be controlled from EN. 

Clarification: Audio file in question was made using Samsung S22. Its a m4a format. 

So now I have two notes: on with usable audio and another with unusable audio (usability: listening with EN and not outside app).

Tried to download file to pc and reupload to note. Getting the second result: The file can be played in app outside EN and not by EN itself. 

Clicked on the file in EN on Android (the second version), Android opened audio app with more controls than EN. Maybe its for the better?

I tried merging note, and the file is made unusable.

I uploaded audio file from my android to new note and i can access the file and listen to it in through Evernote.

Later I tried to copy file to different note but then the file became unusable. Meaning I cannot play audio in Evernote. Even the icon changed.

Tried copy paste, tried drag and drop.

The error continues.

Regular Copy Paste works without issues.

By the way, that fact that error message blink for 3 seconds in red and then disappear don't instill confidence. Is there a log for that?

After drag and drop of  an image between two notes I get the following error massage (Evernote PC)

Ohh great. I was preparing some notes with family medical and legal documents. Guess i need to review ALL the notes from past 2 weeks and see anything missing.

Well, the video example from above looks like some kind of clipped website.

I would rather have AI assist in doing proper clipping than editing. In clipping we already dealing with public data so no harm to privacy.

While checking something in Google Chrome help web page, I saw a line:

So I clicked on the link and got this. So now what? Why Evernote's information is not verified by Google? and what that really means?

Dark mode all the way. My only complaint is highlighted text looks washed out on PC and fine on Android.

I have a suspicion that the web version makes saves much faster than the PC client.

I mostly use EN on PC. 

My Android phone is mostly for view and with ancient android version.

Now, I want to upgrade phone to more modern. I not asking for model advice, they are too many. I am asking, is there some point to take in to account? such as: I do allot of scanning with android. How do you know the scanner will work good with EN app? Is there something to look in model specs? I had older version and focus took too long, the current phone focuses fine but could be faster. I don't want a model with long focus time before scanning the picture.

Should I stick with known brand names and avoid smaller manufactures?

I looked again at task pain>>Due Dates. Now I see that tasks have note name in small print. That's good. That allows easier navigation.

I realized that what I am asking can be confusing in regular note search. 

If note contain several tasks with different due dates, how search will point to a specific task? I now realized that dev team decided to tackle it through Task pane and not with Search syntax.

I want to created saved searches for tasks that includes due dates, flagged status.

Looked in Use advanced search syntax page but found only 3 options for tasks (contains, completed, non completed).

Seems to me that EN search syntax doesn't allow advanced search for due dates, flagged tasks.

I like V10 visuals (dark mode).  V6 looked like yearly 2000 app.

Didn't used V6 as note taking app. Mostly used Android app for scanning documents.

In V10 started deep dive, using EN as productivity tool.

My issues are: Note formatting is too basic, could be faster...

On the other side, other apps use folder structure and don't offer tagging (or offer basic tagging) and don't offer saved searches.

I think EN are the right way and should looks at Nimbus notes for some idea such as smart document formatting and improve tasks which I use allot.

Task are now a big part of my workflow.

Task are not perfect but the big thing about them is that we have central task view. I am sure that there are users that can find checkboxes with search but I prefer central tsk view.

I don't really write long description in tasks, so I supplement it with tables where I can find more detailed description of work and events.

I use a script (applescript) to generate the "Main Map" page, listing the project/task notes in sections       
Project Notes, Tasks (Active), Tasks (Pending), Tasks (Completed), ...

I started to use tags more often so I started to appreciate what can be done with that.

I use PC so no Applescript for me.

Yep, saved search is great. I am not sure other apps can do it.

About tasks: I put tasks on my project page (Attached my template, if any one is interested).

Since tasks arrived, I reduced usage of reminders.
