Really guys you should fix this! I mean doesn't each note have it's own internal id which is unique?? I have already reported this issue 2 months ago but today I see it happen again! I have a big note with various snippets of text and links related to the current world events in certain region and today suddenly I couldn't find things which I am sure I wrote there! To my surprise on my phone the note was different then on a PC! The reason was that again somehow the one and only note doubled itself so it was twice in the same notebook with the same name! Really sneaky sabotage to make me have a hard time finding what I need, when I need it, I would say. Fortunately there was not so much text so I didn't have to spend as much time as last time comparing the contents and synchronising it manually. Please fix the EverNote for PC and EverNote for Android synchronisation, so it is just impossible to split one note into two. That's why we have "conflicting changes" notebook in case something gets edited on one device before syncing from the other one, don't we? But seems like sometimes the conflict resolution engine just gives up and doubles the note instead. Not a good solution in my opinion!

I am really sorry, but this is all clear and simple, so why do you explain it? You haven't read the OP properly, because as I said this DID NOT create a "conflict of..." note in the "conflicting changes" section! It just somehow created copy of the note with the same name in the same notebook which is super confusing and I have noticed it after weeks of editing that this have happened.

I am using EverNote on a PC windows application and on my Android phone. Of course it can happen that I have the same note open on both devices! You are saying this situation can result in this kind of weird split? Sounds like a major bug to me! I have sync conflicts quite often, but THIS is new.

Hello so I have this one really big note and recently I was surprised few times that I cannot find some text in it while I was pretty sure I typed it there. Today I found out the note is frikin twice in the same Notebook! It has the same name, but it is NOT in the conflicting changes. It's just there twice and now I have no idea which edits I did where! I frequently add and edit text in it and now it seems this sneaky doubling caused utter chaos in the content of this. How could this happen and how can there be two notes with the same name? Now I will have to go through 135kB of text and compare what is where! :(( I am using Evernote legacy because of the shortcut bar

I have said in the first post that I use Evernote Legacy (mostly because of the shortcuts bar) Anyway I really don't know how but now it has changed to what I want! Pasted youtube links remain as URL and don't change into the video title! What I tried before was tools/options/note/note taking options - automatically format text objects - uncheck. However when I did it there was no effect. Now suddenly probably after the computer reboot it seems like it worked. However when I enable it back it doesn't do anything and pasted URLs stay as URL Interesting...

It's not the video with preview, but just the blue link. Where do you mean to click? If I do right click I get edit,copy,delete choices. Speaking about Evernote Legacy...

Hello, I frequently save links to youtube and other sites along with my comments, but recently suddenly it automatically changes to video title with link in it's properties. This makes it much harder for me to search because I cannot now search via URL, only via video title. And it is also much more work for me to copy the link and paste it into email or some message, because if I do right click - copy it copies only the video title, which is useless obviously. If I have some more text around this in my note and select the text with the link - again I will lose the URL in the copied text. How do I disable this behavior so the pasted URLs don't get converted? And this problem is both in Android app and legacy Evernote app for Windows

Good summary. I have to agree and say that to me it seems that EverNote team really tries to PUSH ME AWAY from this platform! I have been using Evernote for several years and there have been so many problems and most of them never got addressed! - Desktop app is fine, but syncing usually does not happen even though I have it set to automatic or 5minutes! Result is that I write something on a PC, then go away and I DON'T HAVE IT in my phone if I forgot to manually click "synchronize"! - shortcut bar on top in Windows app is gone so I have to use the legacy version because I want shortcuts to be easily accessible - If I have something on my mind and I want to quickly type it, the notes are suddenly fking READ ONLY in the mobile app! Sometimes I manage to write one word and then keyboard disappears and I have to wait minute or so before I can edit! This has been happening for months on both Android and iOS and it doesn't look like anybody cares about such serious bug! - web client has a problem pasting images but I don't use it for some time already, so maybe it has changed, because I am not a premium subscriber (fortunately...)

this happens on Android too! I have to go out of the note, open another one and it sometimes work there and when I get back it works too. Sometimes I just have to go in and out of the note multiple times to enable edit mode. WTH?

Hello, this is a weird bug which seems to be introduced in the last major release. I have some text and want to type new sentence or few words somewhere in the middle of it. I position a cursor where I want to start, type a word, tap space and cursor jumps over the next word! If I don't notice it I end up with some nonsense! The same happens if you tap enter (new line). You don't even need to type any text. Just have a cursor right next to a word, tap space or enter and the word moves, but cursor jumps behind it. This does not happen anywhere else and I have have no idea what is the intent behind this (probably it's just a bug)

and my Samsung Galaxy S10 suggests to switch this app to sleep mode due to frequent crashes draining battery

the android app KEEPS CRASHING! Almost every time I do something else with my phone and switch back to Evernote it closes and has to load again, which makes me wait and also drains more battery by constantly loading again. Also I am not sure how to force update of my edits, because sometimes I edit a note, press check mark to confirm my edits and then the green triangle with arrows stays there and note does not seem to get uploaded to cloud! If I edit it again, tap checkmark again sometimes it syncs then, but do I have to do this always twice? With the new mobile app I keep having much more sync conflicts probably from the above mentioned reason. I use Evernote mobile and Windows app and now have so much more work resolving sync conflicts!

sorry what do you mean? You are directly contradicting my post by your sentence :-] I said I want to make shortcuts for notes on my homescreen and this does NOT work anymore!

yes there are widgets to create new note, but that's not what I want 😕

Really, so this is the new default? The first thing I noticed is ONLY missing functionality. I wonder why is this not a beta and released only after user feedback is implemented?

Another thing: where is the sync button? I am using Windows app and Android app and I got used to always click sync on a PC before going somewhere otherwise it was very likely it does not sync and I will not have the latest data on my android phone Silly question: where (the heck) are application options? I can't find it in the menu!

Hello, so I have reinstalled OS on a new PC and installed Evernote for windows. I am not very happy with the new design and I can't figure out how to put the shortcuts where I had it before - on top of the window. Is it possible?

I said it happens to me for years already and I don't see how this bug can be related to number of devices. I have one android app on my phone, one Evernote app on one Windows machine and then I sometimes use a webclient on 1-2 other PCs. Right now when I wanted to write this reply, I clicked login and TWICE got an empty page! So I tried to refresh it twice, click login again and on the third attempt I finally got to the forum homepage!
