quick and efficient... I don't feel that way when I am waiting for sync when trying to work on Evernote Android and Evernote Windows together :-] I just thought that if Evernote is happily able to paste pictures and replace Youtube links with a video preview (even when I don't want it to!) it will be able to do this. Funnily it seems that there is some minimum row height limit, because if you INCREASE the font size the row height increases, but if you decrease it back it will decrease too, but only to font size 16.

Hello, so in Evernote for Windows I just wanted to make a paragraph to have smaller font then the rest of the text in my note. I changed it from default 16 to something less, but to my surprise the rows didn't shrink! What's the point in shrinking text if it doesn't take less space on my screen then? Also it looks rather silly if letters are small but gaps between rows stay big. How do I shrink them?

I have submitted it via feedback and I think the more threads people make about it, the more attention it gets...hopefuly

Hello so I have a journal where I type everyday what I do and things like that. Frequently I want to search something and then look "around" to see notes created around this date. I find one note, highlight it in the filtered list, then clear the search field and I would expect the list to stay on the note I just selected, but it doesn't and jumps to the beginning instead! This is quite confusing because the note is still selected and I can view and edit it's contents, but don't see it in the list because it "flew away" from the note. Please fix

Well I have complained about slow and unrealiable syncing recently, but what is happening now is really something! I noticed it already several times, that I am updating an existing note and type some sentences, then tap green checkmark to confirm and I see that several words from the end just have disappeared! What kind of automatic censorship is this? It doesn't happen all the time, but I have noticed it several times already. How many times I haven't and some text disappeared without me realizing I can only wonder!

@PinkElephantwell as you can see too, there is nothing reported for today, so either there was a problem but not big enough to be reported or the issue is just somewhere in the code or overall design of the product. About the network issues you mention - one would think that sending mere BYTES of text shouldn't be a problem on any network If I was syncing notes with videos then it would be relevant to consider possible network issues, but with text I don't think so... just out of curiosity - where are Evernote servers located and how many of them there is? I am in Europe Czech republic and my ping to www.evernote.com is 12ms.

I have these issues quite often, but today it looks there might be some outage?! Usually I edit a note on the phone and in recent weeks I noticed when tapping the green check to save it that it takes long time for it to change to an arrow. Today again but when I got to my PC and it still doesn't want to sync! On the app homepage I don't see any indication about this situation on the homepage unless I open the notebook! (this is a MAJOR missing feature BTW!) Then I see there is still a green triangle with arrows on that particular note and dragging down from the top of the screen doesn't make it sync! On Evernote web I see that indeed it didn't sync. And what is even worse is that few lines of text which I wrote in that note on my phone actually disappeared entirely sometime after I first tapped the green check to save my edits. Still there is some more text on the phone version which is not synced although incomplete. What a mess! I tried switching from wifi to data and restarting the app but nothing. Now after completing this post it suddenly synced! So now I just typed a few more words on my phone in that note, green check turned to arrow quite quickly but now I am in the same situation that note doesn't want to sync. I would happily go to my PC thinking it's there and create a conflict...it took about a minute to sync. Maybe it's just today, or my notebook is just too big (several thousand notes) that this happens to me.

Sorry, but I don't have a laptop, I have a PC and I didn't start this thread, so no, it's not an individual situation. There is multiple other people claiming they have this problem. In my case the issue was not battery life (because desktop PC don't have battery), but rather increased fan noise, CPU temp and also frequently frozen window of note opened outside of the main EverNote window (via double click). It was also happening very often that after clicking on any link it would take about 20seconds before the web got opened. I am yet about to see if disabling of the spell check was related to this also... Regarding shortness of resources - if Evernote is capable of bringing Ryzen 5600X with 32GB RAM to it's knees, then that's really not good :-]

OK so the result is, that my Evernote works, but I have somehow broken the homepage :-] Regarding the CPU load it hasn't changed at all, BUT I found out it really is caused by spell check, so I just disable it and seems like no more high power usage of Evernote processes. The thing is that this thread is already one year old, so I just think devs could have done something like not do spell check on laptops running from battery for example. That would probably help many people who don't have time to read forums and try some procedures (which don't help)

so after more then one hour the window changed and navigation pane appeared. CPU load increased to 1%. I seem to be able to open some notebooks, but the homepage is still loading... Still there is nothing new in the log files, so I wonder what they are for 😕

Well, so I have done it - logged off with erasing of user data. Restarted computer, logged in and now I am looking at the loading screen for half an hour already an nothing seems to be happening! CPU load 0-0,3% and almost no disk or network traffic. No new lines for 50minutes already in evernote.log Should I wait longer?

so I have recently stopped using Evernote legacy and tried standard version again and now I remember again why I didn't want to use v10! Jeez how is this possible to still be happening? This is no fun, because you know that energy prices will go up a lot in the whole world. Maybe it's about time this finally gets fixed! I just type few words in my note and the result is maybe 10minutes of very high power usage of Evernote processes. How ridiculous is that?

IT WORKS! So I was just doing something else around the house, then got back to it and I see it is synced! So I suppose there was some invisible process happening somewhere. Now when I type something in the desktop app it appears quickly in the web client as well! It would be great if there was some message or warning informing user about this to prevent people from thinking it's broken. So thanks for your cooperation. My opinion about Evernote got a bit better

well, so it is as I suspected - all changes done on the phone are visible on the web client but not in the desktop app Nothing created or updated in the desktop app is visible in the web client.

about the devices connected see my last screenshots. About the version on the phone - again I am wondering how can there be any other client level then the last version which is on play store. I had the app open on the phone all the time since morning and I didn't notice anything being upgraded. Allright you convinced me and I just bought personal account for 7€ So let me see what's the status... Right now desktop app says there is an update to be installed, so I do it.

if I go to www.evernote.com it tells me I need to unsync some device, I click select devices and I see this that looks like nothing no new v10 device was added. It's as it was before...

I think I wrote it all quite clearly - on the desktop I am using EverNote legacy for many years (because I always wanted a shortcuts bar on top which is only there). And about the phone - is there a way to run any other Evernote version then what is on a google Play Store? And if it was then would it be useful for anything? Now I check the mobile version and it says 10.34.1 If you say the device subscribing/unsubscribing is limited per month, then you think I can unsubscribe the Android device, test sync in web client and then subscribe android again

Well, I don't have access to a web client, but it worked just fine for years and it broke only when I tried running the green EverNote instead of the grey one, so my guess is that Phone syncs just fine and it also reports sync done. Desktop client doesn't say anything. Now I am afraid what would happen if I run again the Legacy... if this thing doesn't start syncing then I will have to anyway...

I am sorry I don't know why does it matter what phone it is, since the problem started on a PC when I switched from Evernote Legacy to the standard green icon Evernote. But OK if you think this info will help anyone - I have android Samsung Galaxy S10. @PinkElephant please be more specific and tell me where do you see tab synchronization. As I wrote in the OP I don't see any such option in the desktop client! If you are talking about the phone then yes it is there, but as I suspected it didn't do anything - Note edited on a PC is not updated on the phone and note created on the phone doesn't appear on the PC although it said "sync done", so apparently something's wrong somewhere. @gazumped " some time for your devices to catch up with the new version" - so what exactly you think this catching up means? Is there some new database file being created maybe? How can I see how much of it is done already? Maybe in some log file? In total I have around 2500 notes in about a dozen notebooks.

Hello, I have been using Evernote legacy for a long time, because of the shortcuts bar on top. Recently I decided I don't use that so much so I will try the standard version. Of course things got bad pretty quickly as I suspected Notes are not syncing and on my phone I still see an old version of the Note which I started to write in Evernote legacy! And I cannot see any frikin sync button to force it manually! Another thing I cannot find is any kind of settings or options related to syncing which are in legacy version. So I wonder: do I need to pay and upgrade from free to EverNote personal to be able to sync or is this some kind of bug?

yes I am still using the legacy version. Is there a way to have shortcuts bar in the latest version finally?

is there some other Evernote bugtracker besides this forum? I couldn't find one. I want to know if this bug is tracked already somewhere.
