I uninstalled my Evernote (store version) with a tool like Revo uninstaller but I tried the desktop version which had the same problem. Unless I'm mistaken, the data is separated between the store version and the desktop version, if it was a problem with the installation data of the store version, the problem would not have been present with the desktop version.

But I might try uninstalling the version store with Revo (or BCUninstaller which I use for this purpose) and reinstall the desktop version.

The last support response I received regarding this issue was as follows:

I confirm that the problem is still present, I realize that in fact, I got into the habit of dragging and dropping which gets around the problem, but after having done this method, and becoming aware of it, I tested opening a link via a simple click: 12 seconds to open.

I also have many problems since version 10 and I have always wondered if there was not a persistent problem with my database.

I just have Windows Defender. I had tried to disable smartscreen fo windows store applications but teh problem was still here.

I just check my process monitor when I click on links slow to open: I don't see any spikes in process runnings.

Did you see my gif screencast? I tested the same link with OneNote application and it opens fine everytime on my Chrome brwoser. Also, as I said, I tried with several browsers. But I tried to save the link as a desktop shortcut: it works fine, like with OneNote.

When I click on a link on an Evernote note, it can take several seconds before it is opened in my web Browser. Sometimes it open quite quicky (1s), often it is about 3-5s, and sometimes it can take until 20s !

I tried :

- several browser (Chrome, Brave, Edge, Firefox)

- disable some windows defender protections

- Evernote desktop instead of store app

Same issue.

Then I tried the same action from an OneNote link : it always open in 1s max.

Yes, when v10 started, I contacted Evernote support to explain all my issues, so this one too.

I discussed several weeks or month, then I gave up, at least for some issues...

I reinstalled the prior version waiting I install, one day, Windows 10...

This post isn't about opening a note from note list, it is about opening a note from an internal note link in a note

I just tried : CTRL + left click open the note in a new Window on my Evernote Windows 10.28.3 when used on an internal link into a note.

From the list, I use double click to open a note in a new Window.

I created an autotext with PhraseExpress to type [] with a keyboard shortcut but an native evernote shortcut would be better...

I agree but i have the same issue when i have existing checkbox (from notes before v10) and want to add new lines : it isn't aligned.

But i think the real solution will be to not have to add a space before brackets at the beggining of a line...

I'm very disapointed if it isn't restored  .

I use it a lot with legacy.

I tried the workaround for checklist, it work to uncheck all, but it isn't possible to "check" all.

And even if it was possible, i prefer checkbox because i don't want my text strikethoughted and i like the possibility to add as checkbox as i want on a line...

If i hit "enter" on a line with a checkbox, it is converted into a checklist :

I don't know why. If i choose a checkbox over a checklist, there is reasons (no strikethought when checked for instance), and i don't want it to be converted to a checklist automaticly.

I found a workaround by hiting SHIFT + ENTER, but i have to think about that.
