You could try right click and use "remove formatting" or use the remove formating icon in the edit tool  bar.

You need to have the focus on a note in the note list ie not be editing a note. There was an earlier bug that prevented the shortcut working when the sidebar was collapsed but that has been resolved.
  3. Mike P's post in Unable to add Text between two images (Solved) was marked as the answer
Is the issue being able to just add white space between the images so that you can then type in the whitespace? If I select an image and then hit enter I get white space below the image before the next one. I can then add text.  I was worried I would delete the image because normally you are looking for some sort of cursor to the right of the image.  Is this it or have misunderstood the issue?
  4. Mike P's post in No more search button within a Notebook was marked as the answer
The simplest way of doing it is:
Start in the notebook you want to search Click in the search bar (or alt-ctrl-F provided your focus is on a note in the note list) Immediately below the bar you will see the name of the notebook in very faint grey and "add filter"

Click add filter and then you are good to go. Other filters which are relevant to the notebook appear and you can add text into the search bar. After you have done the search you can refine it further with the filter menu if yoou choose
The one thing to remember is that you cannot add what EN considers to be a filter after you have added the search text using the search bar. You can only add them using the filter menu from the filter icon. This doesn't help for notebooks because that is the one filter that doesn't appear in the filter menu.

I'm in Windows 10 using Evernote 10.0.10. Selecting notes by ctrl clicking notes in the note list gives me the following. Exactly as described by @Jon/t
