  1. Hi @ItsMeMario. Sorry, I've just seen the notification of your posts today, that's why I haven't replied before. Look, I really have no words to thank you. It is so kind of you to take your time and share your knowledge here. I got no answer from EN so far and was truly hopeless. Your workaround has worked!!! I've tried it right now and everything ran as you described. Somehow I managed to click all the buttons super fast and yes, the addon is active, duly authorized, but - as you pointed out - veeeery slow. Ok, I can live with that for the time being, hope it improves someday. One of my main workflows in EN consisted of saving emails (+-150/day now) and tagging them. I have a LOT of saved searches (multiple criteria) and these saved searches build dossiers automatically, which I analyze on a daily/weekly basis. Either I take action myself, or I send it to my colleagues and monitor their work (most of time). The "description" of the case is my job, that's why it is so important to save the email with the addon. Forwarding is not a good solution, because my personal evernote email would be part of the "digital document" (the original email, which is legal proof). Copying/pasting is also terrible, because EN pastes the email as a table, and I spend a lot of time extracting the text and formatting it later on Word. The addon gave me exactly what I needed: searchable text ready to copy/paste and reuse elsewhere. So, what was I doing since the Gmail addon broke? I copy/paste the email in a new note. I don't mind formatting or making it readable, I just need searchable text and a tagged note, in order to update my saved searches. I print the email as PDF and save the file in OneDrive (I have a MS365 Business subscription). Once I have to send the dossier to a third person, I open the PDF, export it to Word, copy and paste the text in the main Word file and work on it. I really don't know any app which could replace EN for my worflow: nested tags + advanced seach syntax + saved searches + web clipper + gmail addon. Other PKM tools don't have these features and look quite inconsistent. I know that my user profile is no longer a priority to the owners, as we have clearly seen after the changes in mobile. Notes become less important than tasks and calendars. They have other aims, and they are in their right to do so. But no, they can't leave support tickets of paying users unanswered for months. I am not asking for anything new, I just want something which has worked before and is currently available in the service to work again. In case EN kills any of the core functions which are essential for me and I have to adapt elsewhere, I don't intend to commit to any other note-taking app like I did years ago to EN. I would have a less automated system, I would probably be less productive, of course, but I would have more control over my information and workflow (as primitive as it might sound): PDFs in Google Drive (personal) or OneDrive (business) OneNote (I have a MS365 Business subscription) for notes related to the organization of my dossiers (very simple, just for later reference), a few web clips (most would be saved as PDFs), inventories, etc; Google Keep for quick notes (ex: shopping lists). That's it, I hope this information is valuable to you. And thanks again, I believe you should post your solution in related threads. I will mention it if someone raises this subject.
  2. Hi, @BuzzKill No, no answer from BS. They clearly have other priorities than existing paying customers. The issue persists. My colleagues and I are migrating our workflow to a set of other tools. Emails (now saved as pdf) and all other pdfs are no longer saved in Evernote, and we are exporting existing attachments to a cloud service. We hope to be able to leave Evernote completely by Jan25. After the new developments (?!) that are clearly downgrading the mobile experience (we do more than creating shopping lists on the go), we finally got the message that the new owners have other plans for Evernote and we just don't fit anymore. I wish you luck!
  3. It seems to me that the company has a roadmap rigidly focussed on the latest updates we've seen with AI, real-time editing and (mainly) the new UI. What's left out will simply be ignored. I fear that the Gmail add-on (the integration with Gmail has been removed from webclipper a while ago) could simply be abandoned like so many other features.
  4. I reached Evernote Support for a second time about this issue. Same answer as before (near 2 months ago): they are still running some verifications on the issue and will get back as soon as possible. So, no fixes for now.

I realise that we paying users shouldn't have any expectations of Evernote support, because they're working hard to develop Evernote, they're very busy with the new UI, etc. I'd just like to warn other users, or potential users, that the usual advice: "there's no point posting on the forum, they don't read it, open a support ticket instead" won't bring a solution either. I've had my workflow broken for weeks by an error in the gmail add-on and all I've received from support is a reply saying sorry. Here is a user who has paid for Evernote's most expensive plan since 2009, with thousands of notes, and who has experienced several bad decisions by this company at different stages and who, despite the self-inflicted sabotage of its developers, has stuck with it. So, my dear colleagues, think twice before building a workflow that is highly dependent on Evernote. We are at our own risk. Take care and stay well.
  7. Same issue here (W11, Chrome, EN Premium user since 2009, >28k notes). I've opened a support a ticket weeks ago. I only got a standard reply, with no solution foreseen. My workflow depends critically on the gmail add-on and the loss of this functionality is very damaging. Other add-ons work properly with Gmail, this is an Evernote issue. I am very concerned about the lack of technical support for paying customers.

  9. Just to let you know: 1 week gone and all I've got from Evernote was an automatic reply to my support ticket. Still no solution. Evernote Gmail add-on is still broken.

What have already been done: uninstall add-on> reinstall add-on> revoke access> authorize access I'll open a ticket, but I see that Evernote support is quite slow these days ;( I hope the add-on is functional again soon, it is critical to my workflow.   12. I would like to have the option to disable "automatic" formatting, not only auto numbering, but anything "automatic". As @Mike P suggested, there are some turnarounds. Now I am using these options: 1] 1- 1> 1: 1_ Auto formatting is activated only with: 1. 1) Hope it helps

  14. @PinkElephant and @gazumped , thanks for helping me out! Although we have more professional notes than personal ones (ca. 70/30), I think we'll move the professional notebooks to a free account. We usually access Evernote on the desktop computer at the office and the information is quite structured and easy to navigate. A Pro account, with multi-device sync and more search capabilities would me more helpful to our personal, more chaotic context. Thanks again, the Teams subscription wouldn't solve the problem.
  15. Hi @DTLow @gazumped and @PinkElephant, Thank your for the explanation. My husband and I run a small family office. It's just the two of us. We currently subscribe to two separate Professional accounts (running EN 10 for windows + android). We work together, but each is responsible for completely separate activities, we don't need to share information with each other, and I wouldn't like to act as "admin" of his notes. The point is that we have both personal and professional information in our accounts. The databases are quite big, each of us has +30k notes and I thought that with Teams it would be easier to separate these two kinds of information for each user. But Spaces doesn't seem to segment two workspaces, like if I could separate at root level something like "personal" and "work", and easily switch between the two, it would be more targeted for information access authorization levels, I mean, all personal and work notes would still be all together in the same tree structure just like in a Pro database, am I right? Spaces would be a kind of virtual organizer only, that's it? There's also the issue of the subscription plan price: two Teams users cost less than two individual Pro users (that would be nice!).   17. In EN10 date columns (created/updated) show dates written out in full. EN6 had a better solution: numeric dates only. Much better for visualization and sorting, specially if the EN window is not maximized (or it is open on a vertical monitor) and columns are very narrow. Please consider the previous date display as default. Thank you. Milene
  18. Thank you @PinkElephant I currently have Legacy running. I understand that I have to uninstall Legacy first, then install Evernote 10 (teams account) and then reinstall Evernote legacy (private account). I'll try it.

I have a Professional (private) account running in the Legacy version (Windows desktop - Evernote 6.25) Now my office subscribed to Evernote Teams and: 1. private and business accounts will run separately 2. in the office we will start Evernote Teams from scratch - no import from private accounts intended. My question: can I run my private account in Evernote Legacy and have my Teams account installed in the new Evernote 10? Thanks!

I'm not a tech expert but see this: Most of these notes (scrambled paragraphs in EN10) are long and contain different pieces of text from different sources: some text I typed myself, some copied from Word, some from browser, some from OCR pdf... In EN6 I always use ctrl+shift+V (copy without format) and make sure that everything is uniform (tahoma 10, justified, for example). Perhaps some information from the original format remained somewhere and caused this mess in En10, although many of these notes are years old. Well, I am not able to say why this happened, just giving more information about. Important: I couldn`t identify a pattern, it all seemed random to me (apart from Sans Serif 16 as default font).
