When you start to type a letter (just one), tasks appear that contain that letter. Typing one more, and it starts to narrow down.
Even if you have a high number of tags, usually only 3 letters will already narrow it down to a very small number.
yes, but, as you know, this approach requires you to remember what Tags have been used or assigned to a note. Narrow down (the list of notes) by showing only those Tags currently used by a list of notes is still needed from beginning of V10.

this spinning green circle is a well known companion here - I see it on every initial start (e. g. after reboot of my Mac) of EN client on my Mac - it takes up to 20 or 30 secs until it disappears and the program is ready to work.

I've received my brand new iMac 24" with M1 Hardware - super cool, super silent, very fast - only a few of my main Apps are still not native: the awful Garmin software, the rare reMarkable client, and, well, Evernote - and it is as slow as before* - while all other Apps are running as crazy...
Today I opened a support ticket and raised my hands "please make an universal App":
Apple hardware native (M1 chip) is currently not supported by Evernote app. Thanks for bringing this to our attention. I’ve gone ahead and made note of this for our development team
time will tell.
*) it runs OK - but if you compare it to native Apps it is noticeable laggy

but i would have to know the tags I am searching for....... I know that sounds like a odd statement, but before if I was in a particular notebook and searched tags...only the tags associated with notes in that folder showed.
you‘re asking for the legacy Tag filter 👍 - a long, long, long requested, and still not implemented, request - it‘s absolute boring this is still not available 😡. The current implementation of the Tag „filter“ is just a Tag selector (shows all Tags currently in use in the Evernote DB - and not just those, used by the current selection of notes -so, no downthrill possible)

To be honest, I don't know if EN is working on adding the delete option
For me, delete is necessary
Fortunately, I'm using a Mac and using folder actions to process an import folderthe App says „coming soon“ in Import Folders preferences

Update
1. Used iOS safari extension to import a pdf, when launched EN, one more note was pending sync also ! I waited literally 10 minutes for those 2 notes to sync, but they never made it to the server
please ensure you‘re really importing / sending the PDF to Evernote - in the Share menu there is „options“, usually it points to „automatic“ (file type detection), I always change it to the real file type, in your case „PDF“ - then the PDF find it‘s way to EN quickly (while using „automatic“ it somehow tries to download somewhat to somewhere)

Hi,
My Premium subscription still has eight months until renewal. What's the position with regard to upgraded subscriptions?
Does the upgraded subscription start straight away or will the new subscription be taken on the anniversary of my existing subscription in eight months time?
If the new subscription is taken immediately, do I lose the 8 months I've already paid for?
Thanks for your assistance.
Kind regards
I upgraded using Apple Appstore and after 24 h Evernote „realized“ my new subscription. The remaining Premium subscription was payed off by Apple during the upgrade process.

after starting Evernote.app on my Mac I got that spinning green circle again - it overlaps current shown note. Then I opened "Tasks" and saw a short notice at the top of the window: "sync in progress" (or so) - after approx. 15 secs the circle disappeared. In my case, it seems, this is just a short delay until everything is synced - at least during initial startup, I never got that circle after quitting EN and restarting it.

have you tried to run the saved search on the mobile client?
I do have some saved searches with „-tag:“ and they work only on iOS - I gave up a few months ago to re-report all these search issues to Evernote support.

same problem here on iPad Pro and iPhone 12 Pro - and I've stopped creating new Support Tickets due to lack of time to re-install and re-download all my offline notebooks

same issue here - after re-starting the App the problem is gone. Each and every time.

Hi. Export your ideal 'template' setup as an ENEX file on your desktop. Then double-click the file to generate a new note with exactly that layout.
good hint, thanks. One drawback is, that note is imported into a new notebook - so, some housekeeping afterwards needed.
Your other approaches based on "duplicate note" or "template tag1,tag2" (via copy/paste) sounds promising.

Hint: just go to June then you see the two missing days of May.

I've created another support ticket...

...and tell me, how it went.
You can also try it via the Web version - enjoy it.

Getting really tired of them breaking essential features (SCROLLING, for the love of god!) just to add bs features like their home page
Homescreen is one of the most loved features of my wife to get an overview what I'm sharing to her - a very welcome feature. You are tired? go and get a coffee and enjoy your weekend 😜

Fixed in Version 10.12.5 (or 10.12.6 not sure)

thank you for your feedback @Alvin C - I really don‘t like to re-install because of my offline notebooks 😒
-
doesn‘t work for me anymore since months - unbelievable!
😒

the problem occurs also outside of reminders view - my initial post is just a „safe“ way to reproduce it - at least on my devices.
What? We can't we search by multiple tags any more?
in Evernote for iOS Issues (Versions 10.0 and above)

Another issue is when working with shared notes (by others to you) - since you may have no idea what Tags are used by that (foreign) person(s) (usually teams should have an 'agreement' what Tags in a particular project may be used), a real filter is a mandatory/core/highly recommended feature 🙂
