Hello, I'm considering migrating to Notion. Will I be able to export all my notes and files properly? I fear I will lose stuff. I think I'm done with Evernote. It's no longer working well enough. The search is broken. I constantly have to quit and reopen to write in it. I've lost the fonts I loved using. I'm ready to quit. Can someone please tell me how to make sure I bring all my stuff when I move ?

I thought it was just me but search is not working properly but the worst thing is that often the notes are empty and I have to quit and start again. I really think we should get a few months free to help compensate. And, I'm almost sure that Evernote is a desktop app that drains my battery the most.

This is sort of related I think. I'm in a note and nothing happens. It freezes. And since the synchronise button doesn't work, it freezes and I can't type or do anything in the note. So yes, quitting and restarting works but it's tedious and it happens a lot. The other solution is to go in the search and press return. Somehow, it shakes the program into becoming reactive again. A huge bummer that bug.

I heard Notion was good! And it's only 48$ per year.

So, I opened a ticket, about the impossibility of searching in an ultra long note. Here's Evernote's reply: I understand that the words you search are not appearing on the search result of the shared notebook. Upon checking with our development team, this is a known limitation that we are still working on. I know this has caused you inconvenience and I sincerely apologize for that. This said, why when I retrieve the partner, does it still happen? I'm using an older computer (as my falsely macbook pro Cadillac crashed due to automatic updates sigh!!!) so I have an older version of Evernote and am way more happy with it.

This is only happening in an ultra long note, over 100 pages. The search and arrows work in other smaller notes. Still, it's extremely upsetting as the only reason I've subscribed to Premium was to be able to search inside notes.

What I find really annoying is that I can't search within a note. For example, If I search for "proverb", I know I have it at least 23 times in my note, yet, it says no results, yet they,re all highlighted in my notes but it will not bring me to the results. The arrows don't work either. Surely this is really a bad flaw? Especially since it's a premium feature. Am I searching wrongly?

Like many here, I too am disappointed. It seems like the changes have been done mainly for people using smart phones. I'm a writer. I need all the formatting goodies and they've disappeared. I'm an Evernote power use but less technical than you guys are. Here are my pet peeves: If you quit Evernote, the notetaker gizmo on the desktop closes too. In the past you could still take notes on the thingie even if Evernote was quit. The simplified formatting?? I can’t choose the fonts I want. + they dropped the dividing line that I used ALL THE TIME to separate content in huge long notes (mine are over 50 pages long at times). The search tool is on the top left? not user friendly at all. You should put it back on the upper right side like all search bars. Maybe we only have ourselves to blame. I didn't want to be a Beta tester. Not enough of us have agreed I believe and it gives that. I'm scared of reverting and lose some stuff. I'll wait and see. Maybe I'm just loathing change.

Yes, background colour. So that the whole not is coloured. It doesn't matter whether it's side listed or card view (like i'm using) ! Merci !

Can we please be able to colour our notes so that we can at a glance locate all our "yellow" ones identifying one project ? Thanks !

It would be nice to have a little paintbrush to format the note in the same font, type size, etc. like we have in Word. Much simpler than select all, go change the font and the size. You have a brush that highlights, which I love, but not paintbrush to uniformise everything. Thanks.

My Evernote clipper keeps trying to synch and synch and synch too. My settings are good on my Mac and it's also on in my extensions.

Hello, I notice it more on my MBP than on my phone, but whenever Evernote is open, my battery drains super quickly. And on my Iphone as well. As comparison, 2 known energy gluttons, Slack and Spotify, drain my batteries much much less. Thankfully, I can still clip and take notes with my notepad (the little elephant in menu bar near the bluetooth icon) even when Evernote is closed but I'd prefer to keep it open. What gives? Is anything being done about it ? Cheers, KO
