Well I personally have been constantly requesting it. I use the Windows Desktop and find it is so much faster than a year ago. And my laptop is ancient. Justg because it is not on your wish list doesn't mean there aren't overs of us begging for it.

The new UI made it easier for me to read, but this morning it is gone. I hope they roll it out soon as an option.

Well I had the new UI and was loving it, but this morning it was gone again. How do I get it back? Please don't take it away! I absolutely hate white text on a black background and loved the new font. Please let me have it back.

Yes, I have reported it here and was basically blown off that "it happens." Well, it happens every time now and it is not only a waste of time to delete the duplicates, but it's also a waste of my monthly data. This is a BUG, don't try and tell me otherwise. It needs to be fixed.

I have done the import and deleted the notes twice now. The import is making 3 copies of everynote.

I have seen several people discussing this same issue on Reddit and having the same issue. I updated my phone and windows laptop (still have version 10.64.3-win-ddl-public (20231016152524) And it tells me I have the latest update. Hopefully this will fix the issue.I am hoping since it didn't update properly this morning that that is what caused my issues. We shall see.

So I had a message in Evernote to update to latest version this morning which apparently I did since it says I have the latest version. Created a new note and put three images in and started transcribing the document on my notepad (paper). Suddenly the note disappeared and so did several others that were just images in that notebook. I am afraid to even look in any other notebooks for fear other notes are missing as well. This needs to be fixed ASAP!

Syncing temporarily paused. You can continue editing while Evernote reconnects. I seem to be getting this a lot since they latest update. Not sure if it's an internet issue on our end, though nothing else seems to be having issues, or if it's an internet issue. We both work from home so we use VOIP during the week with no issues. Is anyone else seeing this? It does seem to eventually sync. What is causing this and how do I fix it?

It doesn't seem to remember it either in a note if you leave the session and come back. What's the point of being able to set header styles if they are only note by note? Hard to update existing notes with a template.

I prefer all my notes to look the same and since EN 10 took out the option to use my own fonts, I am trying to make do with the new font options. However, If I am in Note A, and select text and my font and size and say update Large Header, I would expect to be able to go to Note B, (that is similar), select text and select Apply Large Header and my text would look the same in both fonts, but it appears in the latest version that this does not work 10.54.4

I had to install the fonts. Have you printed to ODF?

Apparently Evernote doesn’t install its fonts. Once I did that, it works.

There is also a disadvantage when printing. The PDF export strips out the font styles, so it's useless to have them in the first place.

Thank you all for your amazing help and also for the many examples. So here is the deal. To get a back link, you must create a link IN the note, not just TO the note. So now I know how to fix my issue and need to decide if I care to do so.

I may not have been clear. All my notes are linked to each other. Here is a real example: Note A: (no back links) Has the following text: All the links point to Note B: [x]1820 census (Drury and Elizabeth married in 1811) 1820 Bennett, Drury ~ Drury Bennett is head of household in Williamson County, TN There are a male and female over the age of 45 in this household. Most likely Drury's parents.(It is possible the father was also Drury Bennett, but I don't believe he is the one buying and selling land, because no record is found of Drury Sr. willing or deeding land to Drury Bennett.-Most likely his parents did not own any land at all) ~Elizabeth Bennett was a free white female 26-45 in the household of Drury Bennett, Williamson County, TN. Because neither of them shows a back link and this is where my issue is coming in. I can easily create a link in B pointing to A & C if that will create the back link.

Also I have multiple links to the same note in Note A. Could that be the issue?

So here's my set up. Notes A-M is a research template for a set of ancestors. it is a collection of all my research for that ancestral pair, with notes hyperlinked to the original documents which would be Notes N-Z. Then I have notes for the rolls of microfilm I am researching Notes 1-10 Note A, has probably over 40 links and NO BACKLINKS. Notes N-Z should have a back link to A and also a back link to a note 1-10. Sometimes they can backlink to two ancestors, so they might have a back link to A, D & 3. Whether this is working or not is hard to tell. It is taking hours for the backlinks to update. Now notes A-M SHOULD have back links to N-Z but for some reason none of A-M have back links. My thinking is either there is a limit on the number of back links so A-M have too many links, OR back links only work on newly created notes and will show up soon. I created several new links to A & B yesterday, but neither of them have back links this morning, but the new notes N-Z all have newly created backlinks to A & B. I hope this is clearer than mud. Since I have linked to other notes in A, why would it not have backlinks attached to it? I am looking at the top of the page on A, since it runs several pages. Thanks for your replies by the way!

For some reason I can only backlink to two notes. If a note has more than two backlinks, then I only see the first 2. If a note has many links, then I don't see back links to that note at all. Is this a bug, or is there a limitation to the number of back linked notes. I have almost 20000 notes and use links extensively.

I have tags colored in Windows 6.25 and would love to see Windows10x and all IOS apps be able to show those like 6.25 can! I use these extensively and its useless in the IOS apps where I view my notes when traveling.

Oh my gosh! THank you! I didn't even realize this was an issue until I upgraded to 10 and found notes opening to the web. I have reverted back to 6.25 and was trying to figure out why some notes have the evernote.... and others https.... Now I can fix them before I upgrade to Evernote 10. Thank you thank you. I wish this bug was fixed, but I thankful now that i can fix the links I have (the show up green for local, blue for web by the way).

They were https:// But note they were all created in version 6.x as INTERNAL links. They should all work the same. Found too many bugs in 10.5 Going back to 6.25

When my internal links do work, they open to the note in the right hand screen, but in the middle screen where we can select cards or snippets, in 6.x the note would also be highlighted in that list and on the bottom of the screen. Now that view is always on the first note in the notebook. With thousands of notes in a notebook, this is basically useless, since to see the next note in the list, I have to scroll down the list just to find the note I am in.

I create links from note to note using internal links on all my todo lists, so I literally have thousands of internal links in EN. About 80% of them are now opening to the website instead of to the note on my computer. Is there no global way to tell them to open to the internal link other than deleting the current link, and recreating it? This basically makes all links I created in the earlier versions useless!

I agree, updates should not automatically happen. What if I opened to check something, then wanted to get on a plane? I can't stop the update, because frankly, I'm not even sure it is still happening.

Evernote opened and said it needed to download new version. Fine. But there was no status bar telling me it was ready to install. Finally it told me it wanted to install and would restart Evernote. Again no status bar. Evernote won't open, so I assume it is still updating. But without the status bar I don't know is it still working? DId it encounter an error. Did it install, but not open. There is literally no indication that software is being updated on my machine.
