Feature Request: Date Entry

Recommended Posts

I am getting into Evernote and appreciate the concept.  I do take a lot of notes that need a record a date / time.  Rather than create a separate note for each I prefer to enter a line entry in one note. it would be great if there was a right click / date time entry at the cursor point function in the note.  I could then search on the entrys for a particular date time etc.

Excellent idea! I also keep a lot of notes that I edit with new or uodated data and need to know what change were made and when. My workaround for the moment is rather labour intensive. Every time I make changes of any kind to an existing note, I:

* type "EDIT:" (in bold & underline) space "Insert Date & Time"

* will then add a brief summary about what kind of changes were made.

To be clear, I'm not referring to the meta data. I mean being able to automatically insert the date and time into a note, where I put the cursor, more than once per note. i.e.

EDIT: date & time here

Hope that makes sense. Can windows do that?

  • Evernote Mac: Date Stamp (Shift+Command+D) or Insert a Time Stamp (Alt+Shift+Command+D)
  • Evernote Windows: Date and Time Stamp (Control+;)
