hollyerp2 0
Hi Evernote, I haven't used Evernote for some time, but wanted to start using it again a couple of days ago. I opened it up on my Mac, and then I get told that my password has expired, and I need to reset it. I wasn't expecting a password reset process to be so infuriating. The only way I can reset it, is to provide 5 unique words from my notes - well as I said, I haven't used Evernote for some time, so I ain't got a clue (BUT I still want access to my old notes). So, in order to reset my password, I need access to my old notes - but, in order to get access to my old notes I need to reset my password - has anyone at Evernote taken a minute out to consider this circular scenario? I then went on to the Evernote site with Safari, and got caught up in Evernotes constant page redirects - once you have been to the password reset page, Evernote continues to take you there. I was clicking on the Evernote logo trying to get back to the home page, and I keep being re-directed. I know it may be cookies, and deleting them may help, but why should I? If I click a link that does not require me to be logged in, I should just go there - there is nothing more infuriating than seeing bad design stop me getting to where I want to go. I then opened up Chrome, and ended up in the same situation. So, I opened Firefox, and created a new account (after first having to create a new email address for the new account) - it's the only way I can post on the forum to get help. How can I get access to my old account without having access to my old notes? Anyone? And while I am here, is Evernote going to keep 'expiring' our passwords? Or is this a one off after being hacked or whatever it was I notice in the forum? Thanks Paul Link to comment
