MartinPacker 2
I also saw this mentioned on Lifehacker yesterday.Anyone have any practical experience of using If This Then That with Evernote? Thanks, Martin Link to comment
amirmasoudabdol 14
Yes, I use some recipes like "Twitter to Evernote" and "Google Reader Star to Evernote". I also use Google Talk integration to track my daily log with Evernote: Simply Send a message to the ifttt@bot.com and hashtag it by #en and ifttt create a note for me that contain my message.Amazing Link to comment
Owyn 457
Oops. I have signed up for the service, but, neglected to add a task to test it. Tx for the reminder. Link to comment
amirmasoudabdol 14
I can send note from Gtalk to Evernote by this task: http://ifttt.com/recipes/898 Link to comment
Level 5* jefito 5,598 Posted September 14, 2011 Level 5* Share Posted September 14, 2011 Pretty cool and easy to figure out service. They need to weed out their recipe; how many Starred-item-in-Google-Reader to Evernote versions do we really need? Link to comment
BurgersNFries 2,407
I've signed up & added a task. But no "if"s have occurred, yet. Will be interesting to see how it works. Link to comment
Level 5* jefito 5,598 Posted September 14, 2011 Level 5* Share Posted September 14, 2011 'Starring" an item in Google Reader did make it to my Evernote database, just with a lag. They check their triggers every 15 minutes, then it needed to sync down to my desktop. Link to comment
amirmasoudabdol 14
I like it. I think it's a pretty cool idea to write a post in Evernote blog and introduce this service with some good recipes. Link to comment
BurgersNFries 2,407
Ok, I like this. I already have all my auto notifications from Facebook forwarded to my Evernote account. It's nice to be able to reflect upon what people posted on your statuses (stati?) as well as "convos" in posts you've contributed to/liked. It's also nice to quickly find (in Evernote) something someone posted that you forgot such as a company/service/etc. However, there was no way to get my own initial status info (that I'm aware of), until this app. Pretty darned neat. Thanks for the heads up on this, amirmasoudabdol! Link to comment
deebeeeff 0
I have looked at if This Then That, but I am concerned that it seems to want permission to read my evernote files. What does that mean, exactly? Link to comment
Level 5* jefito 5,598 Posted January 22, 2013 Level 5* Share Posted January 22, 2013 Well, it's in order to integrate with Evernote, most likely. It's able to make notes in Evernote, as well as trigger events from Evernote notes. Link to comment
