I'm having a problem where the Task Window fails to load in either the MacOS desktop app or in the browser version (using Chrome on a Mac). The task window opens, but fails to load any content eg. tasks. However, it works fine on my iPhone in the iOS app. Is anyone else having this problem or able to offer a solution? I've tried reinstalling the MacOS app and that hasn't helped. The task functionality works ok, so I can create a task in a note and it'll appear on my iPhone task window fine. But it's pretty limiting only being able to manage my tasks on the iphone.

Hi.  Don't think we've seen any similar complaints here before...  Have you tried restarting your PC or downloading the latest version from Evernote.com and updating your current install?

Thanks for the reply - I’ve followed much of your advice in here over the years! I’ve done all the standard things I can think of - reinstall and reboot, logged in and out. Just checked again and no change - tasks pane works fine in iPhone and IPad apps, but not using Mac desktop or web version. All my apps are the latest versions. Very peculiar. Everything else appears to be working exactly as it should.

Despite being a subscriber for years, I’m struggling to find a way to log a tech support call.

I did find a discussion on this topic from 2021 that suggested logging out and ticking the remove data option - I’ve given it a go but still no joy.

Well done with forum search (not many do). But maybe you need to remove it all. To fix a Mac install, this is the way that works for me:

Log out, quit the app. Now use the app AppCleaner to remove all parts from the Mac. Restart the Mac.

Download the installer from the EN website. Install it, open, log in.

Let it run for a little, it makes an initial download of notes and metadata. You can try if Tasks are working now.

To get the whole local database rebuild, you need to keep EN open for quite a while. It can be running in the background. It depends on your Internet connection and your Mac's speed, but it can take some days. Until everything is available locally, the client will run slower than usual.

FWIW I seem to have the same problem with the same set-up. Did you ever manage to resolve it?

Sadly not, despite helpful support from the community. Did all the reinstalls etc but nothings sorted it. And it’s odd that it’s also the web version as that’s platform independent. And I can’t find a way to get tech support. Frustrated to the point that I’m now using the surprisingly good Apple Reminders app for the task management bit, and Evernote for the content. Open to any other suggestions….

Thanks for the link - whenever I log in using this link, I end up on my Account Summary page with no way to raise a ticket. Am I missing something? I’m pretty tech savvy so it’s frustrating having to ask for help!

Usually there is something blocking you to get to that page. Either "security" software, or a piece of old data in the browser cache.

Try to stop security / Adblock software, clean the cache, or use a mobile device on mobile data to drop the ticket.

Thanks everso, much appreciated. I’ll give that a go, plus may try uninstalling the web clipper. I’ll let you know how I get on.

FWIW, I've submitted a ticket to support as below. Fingers crossed it'll get picked up...

---

My tasks aren't loading on my desktop Mac app or within the web browser (both Safari, Chrome & Edge have been tried with the same results).

I have tried uninstalling/ reinstalling the application and forced reloads with no changes to the issue. Critically though, I don't believe this issue has anything to do with the app on my Mac as the problem still occurs in multiple browsers.

I can see the tasks on the iOS application (not web) although the when reviewing them within the 'Notes' tab, they don't load and, from the 'Assigned date' section, each one has 'Note unavailable' (images attached).

- Mac App Version 10.80.3
- iOS version 10.81.0

That's word for word my scenario and same thinking - it can't be app based because similarly iphone and ipad both work ok, web version (on all devices/different browsers) and Mac Desktop don't work. I'm also on latest MacOS and iOS versions.

Presumably nothing back yet from your ticket?
