Jimmy Bionic 15
Hi there, Following the most recent update to version 10.63.3 I have discovered that I am no longer able to export all my 4600 notes for backup. Because the new version of app has set the limit of maximum of 100 notes that I can select. This is the Evernote free version I talk about. Is there any way to revert the changes and install the older version, so I could be more flexible with my notes? The legacy version I've tried to find in my bookmarks seems to be no longer available by the following link https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052560314-Install-an-older-version-of-Evernote Kind regards Link to comment
Evernote Expert agsteele 3,059 Posted October 7, 2023 Evernote Expert Share Posted October 7, 2023 You may be able to locate a download from the Internet for Evernote 6 which is the old Windows version. But be warned. There are increasing numbers of reports that the old version is having sync problems. You can get a download of your notes in the ENEX format with one of the third party backup utilities. I use a Github project called evernote-backup and I know others use Backupery. evernote-backup is free but requires a little technical competence. Backupery has a fee for use. I schedule evernote-backup to do its things every Sunday morning at 5am so I always have an up to date set of files. Link to comment
Jimmy Bionic 15
Thanks. Evernote-backup doesn't seem to be particularly user-friendly and requires docker & python to be deployed for a start https://github.com/vzhd1701/evernote-backup What a disappointment! Thanks God Evernote doesn't ban Russian users by their IP as yet, given all the sanctions we've been exposed to since a year ago. But we never know what awaits us in the future.. 12 minutes ago, agsteele said: I schedule evernote-backup to do its things every Sunday morning at 5am so I always have an up to date set of files. Sounds like an even deeper automation of backups (supposedly, via Windows Task Scheduler) than I'd expected Link to comment
Level 5* Solution gazumped 12,054 Posted October 7, 2023 Level 5* Solution Share Posted October 7, 2023 If you go your your Notebooks page in v10 and check the three-dots menu to the right of the name, you can export the entire contents of the notebook (without any 100-note limits) to an ENEX file. Not very helpful if you have a lot of notebooks, but doable for a dozen or so... EDIT - on a desktop... mobiles and the web version don't have the option. 1 Link to comment

I think I need a video instruction or screenshot to do all that. My first humble attempt has failed when I tried to click on three-dots in the upper-right corner because I've been offered to export only 1 active note (see attached screenshot) Link to comment
Jon/t 1,652
You need to select the three dots on a notebook and not just a note. You can also right click any notebook in the sidebar and export it as an ENEX file for backups. It does all the notes. 2 Link to comment

Is there any possibility of a leak of my password/account credentials when I interact with the third-party app? The instructions from your link tell me to share my authorisation details Link to comment

Although still it doesn't seem a partcularly friendly way of exporting in bundle, especially when compared with how it used to work in the past. 1 Link to comment

The instructions from your link tell me to share my authorisation details All the data and information is stored on your machine. The only interaction with the external world is during the login to Evernote and then over the SSL link to the Evernote servers. That's what you do with the apps too. But it's only a suggestion. You'll do what send best for you. @gazumped had suggested the by-notebook export. This was always the archived way of exporting since the bulk method loses the notebook information. 1 Link to comment
