Exporting from Evernote

Hello all,

I am attempting to export my notes/notebooks from Evernote to use as a backup, as I have had several sync issues lately. However, all the information I find on google seems to be for an older version, I can not find any way to simply export my notes. I am using both web based access on my computer and the Android app. Anyone can give some instructions on this functionality?

Unfortunately, you can only export notes from the Desktop version of Evernote on either Windows or MacOS. There are 3rd party services that can connect to your Evernote account to export but a lot of them (if not all) of those kind are paid services. (Edit -- https://github.com/vzhd1701/evernote-backup is a free service.)

You could unsync one of your devices and install the Desktop app and then do it, but you are limited on the number of times you can unsync a device and then it's possible to lock yourself out of your account.

Thanks -- I took another look as it had been on my radar (thanks to the forums), but I have not used it yet.

Do you (or anyone) happen to know if that would count as another "device"?

I don't believe that it counts as a device. At least it never appears in my list of connected devices ;)

It is not listed in devices.

It is listed in the Applications tab on account settings, where applications that can access the account through the API are listed. These don’t count as a device.
