fallwein 3
Hi, I would like to zoom, then edit an image in Evernote. Did not manage to do so either on Mac OS or iOS (current versions). I only found various tools to edit/ highlight, but none for zooming in. sorry f I sound stupid - found nothing using search here, or on Google. I’m guessing there must be an easy solution. Anyone? 1 Link to comment
Level 5* gazumped 10,764 Posted August 23 Level 5* Share Posted August 23 Hi. I don't think there's a way to do this within Evernote - much moe effective to move the image to a photo editing package with more options, make your changes, then move back 2 Link to comment
Level 5 Dave-in-Decatur 2,920 Posted August 23 Level 5 Share Posted August 23 In the Windows desktop program (and I think it would be the same on Mac), when I click on an image, then click on the "pencil" edit icon, the picture opens in a new window for editing. At top left of that is a zoom control. Is that what you're looking for? 3 Link to comment
fallwein 3
@Dave-in-Decatur partly, yes. When I click, it zooms to the middle of the image, with no way (afaik) to scroll to the top or bottom for edits. Might try editing externally as @gazumped suggests, but it would be seriously strange if there were no way to scroll in the zoomed image 🤔 Link to comment
Level 5 Dave-in-Decatur 2,920 Posted August 23 Level 5 Share Posted August 23 I tried dragging the zoomed-in image around with the mouse and couldn't do it. But I did find it possible to slide it left, right, up, and down with the arrow keys. Not real precise, but may be better than nothing. 1 Link to comment
Solution Boot17 1,066 Posted August 23 Solution Share Posted August 23 After zooming in, if you hold the Ctrl key down (on both MacOS and Windows), then you can click and drag your position around in the image with the mouse. On iOS, you can zoom in with the typical pinch-to-zoom and then slide your position around with two fingers. It was pretty jumpy for me when I did it just now, but it worked. 2 Link to comment
