Solmardiotozou 0
Good afternoon. I want to know if a free account has a limited number of stacks it can create. Thank you so much. A cordial greeting from Lima, Peru. Blessings. Link to comment
Evernote Expert agsteele 2,952 Posted July 22, 2023 Evernote Expert Share Posted July 22, 2023 There is no limitation peculiar to a Free account. But you cannot create a stack within a stack (from my recollection). Link to comment
Level 5 PinkElephant 8,170 Posted July 22, 2023 Level 5 Share Posted July 22, 2023 There is a implicit limitation for the number of stacks: A stack needs a notebook inside - at least one (even if this makes no sense, but you need one notebook to create a stack). The number of notebooks in a Free account is 250, so the theoretical number of stacks is 250 as well. For practical use its much less. Stacks can‘t be nested. The question tells you want to organize mainly by notebooks and stacks. This is a long discussion - I always tell to discover organizing by tags. The big advantage of tags is that you can assign multiple tags at once to a note - but a note can only be in one single notebook at a time. Link to comment
tyoung77 39
Hello, Agree! Tags are much easier to use. Took me awhile to realize notebooks and stacks in Evernote do not work like the folder/sub-folder structure does in PC's. I will still use them but I am adding tags to my organization as well..
