sigaocaue 0
Hope this message finds you well. I would like to reach out about an issue I am having with the Evernote app on my macOS Ventura version 13.4.1. I noticed that the spellcheck feature is not working properly when it comes to checking multiple languages. Specifically, I have English (set as primary) and Portuguese languages installed, but the app is unable to check spelling in both languages simultaneously, only Portuguese. This only seems to be happening at certain times and/or only for certain words/phrases. As an avid Evernote user, this limitation caused some inconvenience. I rely on the app for many tasks involving different languages, and having accurate spell check functionality is crucial to my workflow. What can I do to resolve this issue? Link to comment

In addition, in this question, I'm making the problem more specific by providing the App version and the operating system version. Do you have any possible ideas about how to resolve this issue? Level 5* gazumped 11,699 Posted July 19, 2023 Level 5* Share Posted July 19, 2023 AFAIK Evernote spell-check is restricted to one language at a time at the moment. You could feeback the need for more options to Evernote, or start a Feature Request here... Link to comment

What I find most strange is that this issue only occurs with certain words, and even though the primary language is set to English, it is flagging simple and basic words as errors. Link to comment
Level 5 PinkElephant 8,174 Posted July 19, 2023 Level 5 Share Posted July 19, 2023 Here is a workaround for Windows. Probably it can be done in a similar way on the Mac. Can’t try, traveling iPad only at the moment: https://discussion.evernote.com/forums/topic/129037-multi-language-spell-checking-without-changing-operating-system-language/?do=findComment&comment=657343 1 Link to comment
