Since EN is renting its servers from Google, it probably was the easiest to link up Google Drive.

What kind of integration are you looking for?  I link to dropbox files with their URL.

I do this too - and I like it, but I wish it would point to the file locally and not on the web

You should be able to open the local folder and create a shortcut to the file from there - I used to create a shortcut on the desktop and drag and drop that into a note;  these days I just copy the full filename and path and create a file:/// link
