Pevster 0
I have been looking through the forum for various solutions, and I have come up empty. I cannot delete permenantly any items in my trash. I have tried on pc version, andriod version and web version. The versions I have used have been up to date. The option to "delete permanently" is greyed out. Most of the items in the trash are unshared. Any help would be most appreciated. Link to comment
Level 5 Dave-in-Decatur 4,006 Posted April 24, 2023 Level 5 Share Posted April 24, 2023 Hi, and welcome to the forums. All I'm saying is that I'm not seeing that. In the Android version, when you're looking at the whole Trash list, there's a ... menu at top right, and one of the items there (in red) is Empty Trash. In the Web client, there's an Empty Trash button at the top of the list. Are those also grayed out? If you're on a paid subscription, you may need to contact Evernote support about this: https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/requests/new. Link to comment
Evernote Expert agsteele 3,059 Posted April 24, 2023 Evernote Expert Share Posted April 24, 2023 @Pevster You are correct to identify that some notes are shared. They cannot be deleted permanently. They are handled by the original owner of the note. Like @Dave-in-Decatur I am able to delete notes permanently. You may resolve this by rebuilding your local data. File | Sign Out | Remove data from this device When you sign back in your data will be rebuilt and that may resolve things. As @Dave-in-Decatur says, your other option is to open a support ticket. 1 Link to comment
