stocky2605 401
@Shane D.unfortunately I'm still having a lot of red dots in my text - no chance to add a word to the dictionary, menu item missing (see attached snapshots) If I misspell an english word I see a menu item ("Rechtschreibung lernen" -> add to dictionary) - so it seems this is a non-English problem only? Update: it seems the problem only occurs if a word is completely unknown (no similar word found) - if I misspell a known German word then I've the option to add it to dictionary (bug or works as designed?) 1 1 Link to comment
Nico de Groot 1
It's the same in the 10.6.9 Dutch version. 1 Link to comment
apmccall@email.arizona.edu 1
Same with medical terminology. Weird to have an option to "add to dictionary" only if the word is somehow recognized by the dictionary...LOL. Also, I can't even find "add to dictionary" anywhere. I can only tell it to "learn spelling". Link to comment
Christian0815 0
I've got the same problem with 10.21.5 (Mac Version) Does anyone got an idea how to get de Button "Rechtschreibung lernen" with unknown words? Link to comment
Level 5 PinkElephant 8,117 Posted September 23, 2021 Level 5 Share Posted September 23, 2021 It shows if it detects a word as misspelled. It does not show when it finds nothing misspelled. Sort of minor bug, probably. Link to comment
