Moving evernote to a new laptop

Trying to move evernote to a new laptop;

When i copy enex files over the number of notebooks double.

Does the copied notebook files get loaded to the folder as the notebook files from the web version?  

Some of the enex files are over 2 gigs but only contain 2 or 3 notebooks. why

To Run evernote on a new device

I load the new software and login with  my email address and password which  syncs notes.

Do I also need to transfer the enex files over ?

Hi.  Your primary database is stored on Evernote's server,  so all you need to do to move the app to a new machine is install the basic software and log in.  The server will copy your notes - as it obviously has been here - onto the new device.  It takes a little while to complete,  depending on your internet connection speed.

Best practice is instead of move , install the app on the new device

1) Is this question related to ScanSnap Home support ? Because this is the sub-Forum it was posted in.

2) Apart from local Notebooks (that  must be transferred manually) all notes will sync from the EN server after the first login.
