The 'almost' impossible Apple Notes Conversion to Evernote

Recommended Posts

Long time Evernote Premium user, first time post...  Since Evernote was nearly dead of any updates until recently I switched from Evernote to Apple Notes for a little over a year.  Things went well, but coming OUT of the Apple Notes to return to Evernote is not seemingly as easy.  I realize part of the problem is the Apple ecosystem and inability to convert easily, but I also find the limited ability of Evernote to Import things like .rtf files creates problems as well.

So... Has anyone recently (late 2020) had any GOOD conversions from AppleNotes to Evernote?  I've used the AppleScript example in the forums that don't work and people have abandoned, NoteExport, Exporter, etc and nothing seemingly works.  Am I just to abandon my hope of coming back to Evernote?

First things first: Better change your forum user from an email address to a neutral name. Spammers are loving to harvest mail addresses from public pages like this forum.

Concerning the import from Apple Notes, you could try this:

  1. Install the legacy client on your Mac.
  2. Use the scripting import routine - it does not work with v10, but it should do with legacy
  3. The data will then sync from legacy to v10, and will be available there

@PinkElephant- could you like, or help quantify, the "scripting import routine" that you speak of?

Here's a sample script

As @PinkElephant mentioned
Applescript is only supported on the Evernote Legacy product1028214991_ScreenShot2020-11-24at12_09_00.png.8da9a4e35bc83fe2bfca26923eaf1fb1.png
