[Recommended Workaround] Stacks containing a dot "." missing from left nav

after updating the app, all of my notebooks disappeared. However, all my notes are still there, and connected to their original notebooks.

To clarify, the Notebooks are missing fro the left side navigation menu correct?

If you tap on "Notebooks" and go to the Notebook kingdom, are they also all missing from there as well?

Let me know as this will better enable me to determine how best to proceed!

I have same issue. Some notebooks show in the navigation menu but there’s a blank space where others should be. Notebooks are listed in offline area and I can create a new one. But if I move it to a stack that doesn’t show it disappears.

I have narrowed down the issue ...

It's related to stacks with a period / "." in the name

Original name 1. Projects - blank

Renamed to Projects - shows

Renamed to A. Projects - blank (thought it was the number)

Renamed to A Project - shows (realised it was the special character)

Renamed to 1 Projects - shows (numbers are OK)

Renamed to 1-Project - shows (hyphen OK)

Have replaced "." with "-" for all stacks - all displayed

 

FYI notebooks with a "." that aren't a stack top level folder display correctly

Yes. All of my notebooks are missing. 
However, I can see them all on the web version. 
Plus, in the app all the notes are correctly related to their notebooks. 
Practically, it means that I can’t use the app right now.

Is the notebook part of a stack in which the stack has a symbol/punctuation in it? If so rename the stack only using numbers and letters. That worked for me.

I have this problem....I have a Cooking Stack (no periods) -- on my machine all the recipes are there but just in one big glob..no NOtebooks...I checked the online version before I downloaded and the Notebooks were there as the previous user reports..What can I do ..all my Financials are messed up ..again no Notebooks in the Financial Stack

Have you tried moving one of the notebooks out of the stack? Check to see whether it appears then ... If it does, perhaps create a new stack.

There are no notebooks to move..no problem if I log into Evernote.com

Move the notebook in Evernote.com and see whether that then gets replicated and becomes visible in the app ...

I had a similar problem ..my Noteboks in stacks disappeqred with no data loss but the problem has been resolved... hope yours does too,

Yes, that is exactly what happened to me, is this a common problem with the new update?

It happened to me but cleared up after a few days. In my case it only happened with stacks..good lick

same here. very strange that the note books will showed after installed on ios both phone and ipad. but after few use (around 3-10 operation, the note books will disappeared on the left hand side. it will show again after reinstalled and disappeared again

Same thing for me too. All notebooks are gone but the notes are still there. Have been emailing Evernote for several days now but they are unable to resolve this.

Hi All,

I wanted to let you know that this is a known issue, and I've modified the title of this thread to better reflect it.

As @Everluke outlined, if you remove the '.'/period from the stack, it should then appear as it should.

I'll follow-up here once I have an update.
