ScanSnap for EN worked a breeze, no problems for me. I'm not scanning large quantities, just keeping some letters and important docs etc.

SSHome is a real pain. I updated, back in Aug 19 and the 2nd document I scanned eventually materialised several weeks later in a folder on my Mac! I've scanned some other docs since then but today I had more to do, about 20 - 30 pages in several small bundles and 2 till receipts.

The scans take several minutes before they show up in EN, aaaggghhh! The receipts have yet to appear and no, they're not in the ScanSnap Home folder, under Documents!

SSH gets 2/10 from me, it's a pain and is a regressive step, IMHO!

The old app may have been better, but it was 32bit software. So it had to die, because Apple goes 64bit only. This is not EN killing something for fun.

Fujitsu seems to be working on the Home-app, there was an update when I looked recently for something on the Fujitsu website. So maybe get this first. Mine is at 1.4.0 (8) for the ScanSnap Home and 3.0.20 for the ScanSnap Online now.

Then for me it works fine, within of the limits of the Home software. I have OCR active, and still a multipage-duplex pdf usually takes just one minute to show up in a new EN window. This is not too bad. Lost files I had none, up to now.

Is your WiFi-network running smoothly ?

Maybe experiment a bit with the settings, or create new profiles for "Scan into Evernote" to improve performance.

Or uninstall ScanSnap Home completely using AppCleaner, and try a clean reinstall.

Finally there are 2 other options for the ScanSnap, one through a smartphone, the other through a cloud service. They are useful if you want to get a quick multipage scan without having the Mac up and running. For a few pages, I use ScannerPro on the iPhone instead.

This is a Fujitsu product.  Shouldn't you be addressing this with them?

I'm aware of that. I bought it as the EN version. Fujitsu have not sent me a sticker to put on top of the 'Evernote edition' label on the scanner! 😉

All I"m doing is highlighting, it's not been as simple as it could be.

Most helpful thanks, I'll have a look at this in more detail during the week.
