Cloudflare certificate warning

Recommended Posts

For some days now I have been bombarded with certificate warnings and no matter how I respond to them, they keep appearing. The warning is grouped with the Evernote processes in the taskbar, so it would appear that they are associated, but I can't be certain.

Please could you tell me how to stop this?

Thanks, Sam

Hi.  We're a -mainly- user-supported forum with no direct links into the company.  I have no experience of this issue and I'm a heavy Windows user,  so I can't say whether or not this is an Evernote issue.  You'd be best off contacting Evernote Support - https://www.evernote.com/SupportLogin.action if you're a subscriber,  Twitter - https://twitter.com/evernotehelps if that doesn't work,  or you're not.  Since it's a fairly urgent (or at least annoying) issue,  Twitter would be the fastest way to get a reaction...

Are you on a company network? It looks like something is trying to get you to install a CloudFlare certificate. They are a reputable company, but not sure why you are getting a dialog to do a manual install of the cert. Evernote won't request that, unless you have blocked the ability of software to use their own certificates. Evernote does use TLS to connect, and if it is related to that cert and you don't have it installed, your traffic between Evernote and your PC is not encrypted.

I see that Evernote dialog all of the time, but it is usually at a Starbucks or something before I have accepted their TOS for their WiFi.
