Feature: OneNote-like 'badge' to add a note quickly

Idea

Microsoft recently added a feature to OneNote for Android that (optionally) puts up a floating 'badge' that shows up on lock screen, and while using any app (it floats along left or right side and usually doesn't obstruct anything - you can easily reposition as desired). When you tap on it, it lets you select a notebook and add a note with a title, without having to switch away from the app. Pretty slick. Would like to see Evernote do this too!

Thats a very good idea too.

But a Sticky Note kind of feature will be great. Like The COLOR NOTE has. We can stick the note to our homescreen which serves as a great reminder. If the sticky note can be integrated into the Lock Screen as a notification (it should not be removable by a swipe or clear all, without a confirmation that you no longer need this in your lock screen notifications.)

Such a feature will be very useful for serving as a reminder. More useful than a time based a Reminder that is currently available in evernote. Because everybody looks at there phone atleast 40-50 times a day, and such a reminder on homescreen and lock screen will be a very useful feature.

The OneNote style, floating badge is only useful for taking notes when in a different app. A good way to implement that in Evernote with some improvement will be to add the support for opening the evernote from the floating badge in a Split Screen View, where evernote opens in half the screen and the existing app remains open in the other half.

This will enable the user to take notes from an ebook, a pdf. or web browser, etc.,

An Evernote "Badge" would be a really great idea. I actually stumbled on this discussion while looking for a "Badge" option in Evernote like one-note has. I need a floating note taking thing while i am working on documents. Quick note taking Evernote widget is good but its not a floating one.

Evernote does have an item in the notification area to create a quick note, so it's available at all times (though not from the lockscreen). It has limited formatting capabilities, and can only save to the default notebook. But putting the note in a different notebook later is easy, and if all you need is a quick note while looking at documents or other apps, it works well. It can even access the Android clipboard, so you can copy several items and paste them into the note from the clipboard.

All of that is not to say that a floating "badge" or lockscreen widget wouldn't be a good idea!

By using "Custom Quick Settings" from the Play Store, I've added a "Quick Note" tile to the Notification Shade's Quick Settings panel. A couple of swipes more than using the built in notification feature, but it keeps the notification shade clear of unnecessary static notifications.
