RichardG63 15
Hi, When I create a new note on my android app, the note's title's first letter is not automatically capitalised. Surely it should be? Link to comment
Level 5* gazumped 11,666 Posted October 4, 2016 Level 5* Share Posted October 4, 2016 I prefer to use lower case for most things in my database - Evernote searches don't care what case is applied to a term. If the first word on the first line of your note has a capital letter, that's what you get in the title; lower case gets lower case. If you're typing directly, then the keyboard controls case. RichardG63 15
I would prefer it if the first word in the title was capitalised automatically - this would be anyway more consistent across lots of different things e.g. calendar entries, contact names, and most sentences! Link to comment
Level 5* gazumped 11,666 Posted October 4, 2016 Level 5* Share Posted October 4, 2016 OK - you've raised the suggestion, and if a lot of users agree with you and vote this item up (via the counter at top left of the page) then it'll definitely get on Evernote's radar. Link to comment
Level 5 Dave-in-Decatur 3,959 Posted October 4, 2016 Level 5 Share Posted October 4, 2016 Richard, it seems to me that, as gazumped suggested, automatic capitalization is controlled by the keyboard app you are using. If first words in a sentence or field are capitalized in other apps, they should also be so in Evernote (as I find on my phone). If not, well, then there is a problem somewhere. Link to comment
