Hi y'all,
If you're trying to update the email address associated with your Evernote account but are receiving a message that the email is already in use, use the following steps to swap the email addresses:
- Sign in to the account with your desired email address at https://www.evernote.com. If the account has been deactivated, you can reactivate it here.
- Change the email address on that account to something not currently associated with another Evernote account (this will free up the use of your desired email address). If you don't have an additional email address to add to this account, or you do not wish to use one of your additional email addresses, I suggest using a service such as 10 Minute Mail.
- Sign out then sign in to your primary account
- Change the email address to your desired email address
Let me know if you have any questions!

Hi @Thala - You can remove the shadow effect by clicking the "a" above the text.
-
Hey @jo7k - Here are a couple gifs showing how you can change the font size, and remove the shadow effect. I hope that helps!

Hi y'all,
The Tab feature isn't ready yet, which is why you're not able to currently do anything with it. One workaround is opening the notes you want to tab into their own separate windows, then navigating to Window > Merge All Windows. I know it's a bit of a clunky workaround, but it's all I've got right now

Hi @jo7k - What device are you using to annotate PDFs? You should be able to both change the font size and remove the shadow effect. I can post some screenshots using the device you typically use for more clarity.

Hi @Sabinn - Please submit a support request so our Customer Support Team can help investigate this further.

Hi @Sabinn -
Can you try completely quitting all open programs on your computer, then reboot the machine and try to access the link once more? Let me know if the link still doesn't open in a web browser after doing that.
-
Hey @Sabinn,
If you click the link provided in Step 2 your web browser should open to an Evernote Authorization page. After clicking the green Authorize button you'll see a verification code you can copy and paste into Step 3 of the Sticky Notes Settings window. Hope that helps!

@Shukry - I have your ticket and will be continuing all correspondence via the email ticket we have going, rather than via this thread.
-
@Shukry - Each Evernote account is associated with a unique email address, so the same email address can't be linked to both a Basic account and a Plus account. I sent you an email asking for a little more information, I'll keep an eye out for your response.
-
Hey @Shukry,
I looked up the email address associated with your Evernote forum account and it's coming up as a Basic subscription. I'm going to create a support ticket on your behalf, and follow up with you via email to get some more information. Thanks for your patience!
EDIT: Adding ticket #1846189 for reference

Hi @MissMackBailey,
The feature request forum is a means of letting the Evernote development team know what things you'd like to see implemented, however it doesn't guarantee that the features requested will be added to the application.

Notes that have been recently accessed in the iOS Evernote app are stored in the iPhone's cache. This is why you are sometimes able to access notes while offline, as @DTLow mentioned above. The iOS device will push content out of the cache as it sees necessary, to make room for other content that has been recently accessed. This is not something we are able to control, though we do offer the ability to designate notebooks as offline with the paid subscriptions for users who need to be able to access notes/notebooks when disconnected from wifi or a cellular network. For clarity, the ability to designate notebooks as offline has never been a Basic feature, this was not taken away from Basic users.

Hi @alienbogey,
Offline notebooks for mobile devices are only available for Plus and Premium Evernote subscribers. Because the notes aren't actually downloaded to the mobile device, you will not be able to access them without an internet connection unless you upgrade your account and designate the notebooks as offline. You can, however, access your notebooks when offline using a computer with the downloaded Evernote application installed.

When annotating a PDF that is embedded in a note, the highlight option only provides access to free-hand highlighting. This results in messy highlights and doesn't really fulfill the needs of the tool.
Is there any way to simply highlight text that has been selected?
Hey @seanuoft,
You should be able to highlight in a straight line by holding the Shift key down on your keyboard while highlighting text. Hope that helps!

A reasonable person would have also recognized that you are a moron who apparently cannot fathom the fact that a product roadmap can change significantly over the course of 7 years (since that initial Evernote response).
Please refrain from name-calling. Thank you!

Hi @13thmoon,
You can add a new tag to a note on your iPad by tapping the "i" information icon located underneath the note title to the right, then tap Add Tag. Tapping the + icon will allow you to add an existing tag, tapping the Add Tag text will allow you to add a brand new tag.
I hope that helps!

@Kmurz - If none of your typical password combinations allow you to get into the account, our Technical Support Team may be able to help you recover the information if you had previously synced that account to the downloaded Evernote application on your computer. Let me know!
@amelia19 - Because email addresses are our only means of identifying a user, we aren't able to send recovery password emails to any email address not associated with the account. If the email address is no longer valid and the password has been forgotten, the only way to recover content from an account is if you had synced the account to the downloaded desktop application or if you have a backup of the content.

Hi @MrGilbert,
There is not a way to manually choose which image in a note is displayed in the snippet; Evernote will choose the image with the largest smallest dimension.
For example, if you have 3 images with the following dimensions:
75x100
100x400
200x300The "smallest" dimensions are 75, 100, and 200, respectively. We're going to use the image with the largest of those "smallest" dimensions (i.e., 200).
The only way to "choose" which image is shown in the snippet is to manipulate the dimensions of the photo using a third party application.

Hey @JeremyH,
This icon indicates an unread Work Chat message. If you don't want this type of notification to appear, you can navigate to System Preferences > Notifications > Evernote and uncheck "Badge app icon." Hope that helps!

We changed the way the delete command works on Mac because we received several complaints that it was too easy to accidentally delete notes. There is not currently a way to revert back to using just the Delete key, rather than Command + Delete.

MAC: Find and Replace?
in Evernote for Mac Requests (Versions 7.14 and under)
Posted
As a support team, we always welcome feedback and requests for features, and pass these along to the development and management teams. We understand Find & Replace is a feature a lot of users want, and our development team is aware of this as well. While the dev team doesn't always have time to reply to feature request threads, your votes do have an impact on what they discuss for future implementation. However, feature requests are just that, requests. We do not promise to add requested features.
The Customer Support team does not have the ability to give you additional information behind why the development team has not implemented this as a feature, because we don't work behind the scenes to understand exactly what kind of manpower is needed to do so. We also do not share our timeline for the release of future feature additions.
