  1. Hi all, Our security team is actively investigating an issue where some users are receiving emails from Evernote indicating notes have failed to be emailed from their account. It looks like this may have happened to accounts that utilize the same password on multiple websites. If you believe your account has been accessed by someone else, we suggest you do the following: 1. Change your password immediately. Choose a unique password that you don’t use on another website. 2. Review the list of Authorized Applications for your account. Revoke access to any applications that you are suspicious of or that accessed your account from an IP address you don’t know. 3. Set up two-step verification on your account as an additional layer of security. Lastly, be sure to never share your account login with anyone else.
  2. If you have any questions or comments regarding the Avast notifications, please post here: I'm going to lock this thread so we have one centralized location for further reports. Thanks for your understanding.

  4. Hi @randy_b, Please try recreating your Evernote note index to resolve this. If Evernote is not crashing: Open Evernote Hold the Option key down on the keyboard and click Help in the menu bar. Go to Troubleshooting and select Recreate Full Text Search Index. If Evernote is crashing: Open Finder, then select Go > Go To Folder from the menu bar. If you have the Mac App Store build, paste: ~/Library/Containers/com.evernote.Evernote/Data/Library/Application Support/com.evernote.Evernote/accounts/www.evernote.com/ . If you have the direct download build, paste: ~/Library/Application Support/com.evernote.Evernote/accounts/www.evernote.com/ Locate and open the numbered folder Locate and delete the folder called note.index Open Evernote

  7. Hi y'all, We're seeing some reports of Avast antivirus software alerting users on Mac of a virus or infection caused by Evernote. This is a false positive, you can read more on the Avast Forum here. Updating Avast to the latest version will help to resolve this issue.

  10. Hi y'all, I've updated my original post. This issue should be resolved in the latest version of the Evernote Web Clipper (6.11), however you'll need to also ensure your Privacy settings are set to either "Allow from websites I visit" or "Always allow". If you're still experiencing this issue after verifying you're on the updated version and the settings are set appropriately, please submit a support request so our Technical Support Team can help investigate this further.
  11. Hi all, Our development team has pushed an update that should resolve this issue. You may need to clear the cache before seeing improved performance. If you continue to experience this issue after clearing the cache in your browser, please post here so I can alert our Technical Support Team.
  12. Hi @Aliviel - The Premium subscription doesn't count towards the cost of the Business subscription. When a Premium account with more than one month remaining on it is upgraded to Business, you'll receive an email containing an activation link with the remainder of the Premium. It looks like that email was sent to you yesterday morning (February 8th).
  13. Our team is aware of this issue and they are currently investigating it. In the meantime, you should be able to access your content normally using Firefox.

  17. Because deactivated Evernote accounts can be reactivated at any time, simply deactivating the account does not free up the email address for use in another Evernote account. To swap the email addresses on your accounts: Sign in to the account with your desired email address at https://www.evernote.com. If the account has been deactivated, you can reactivate it here. Change the email address on that account to something not currently associated with another Evernote account (this will free up the use of your desired email address). If you don't have an additional email address to add to this account, or you do not wish to use one of your additional email addresses, I suggest using a service such as 10 Minute Mail. Sign out then sign in to your primary account Change the email address to your desired email address

  19. @Carl Trujillo - It sounds like you've downloaded the Evernote application from the Mac App Store. To see the option to update Evernote from within the Evernote application, and have the option to update to the beta, you'll need to reinstall the direct download version of Evernote. To reinstall the direct download version of Evernote for Mac, follow these steps: If Evernote is running, press Command + Q to quit the Evernote app Open the Applications folder and drag Evernote to the Trash Right-click (or Ctrl + Click) on the Trash and select Empty Trash Restart your computer Download and install Evernote for Mac from http://www.evernote.com/download Drag the Evernote icon into your Applications folder Open Evernote and log in to your Evernote account
  20. To help resolve this, open your Contacts application and search for 'Evernote Upload.' Then rename the contact to your first and last name.
  21. As a support team, we always welcome feedback and requests for features, and pass these along to the development and management teams. We understand Find & Replace is a feature a lot of users want, and our development team is aware of this as well. While the dev team doesn't always have time to reply to feature request threads, your votes do have an impact on what they discuss for future implementation. However, feature requests are just that, requests. We do not promise to add requested features. The Customer Support team does not have the ability to give you additional information behind why the development team has not implemented this as a feature, because we don't work behind the scenes to understand exactly what kind of manpower is needed to do so. We also do not share our timeline for the release of future feature additions.
  22. Hi @Carey S., To move and combine notes and notebooks from one account to another, follow these steps: 1. From any Mac or Windows desktop computer, log into the account that contains notes you'd like to transfer to another account using the downloaded Evernote application. 2. Export your notebooks as Evernote XML (.enex) files from this account and remember which folder or directory you’ve saved it to. All your note contents and tags are saved to this ENEX file. Note: Notebook stacks are tied to individual accounts and cannot be exported to another account. Once you’ve imported all your notebooks into your secondary account, you’ll need to reorganize them into stacks. 3. Sign out of the account you've just exported notes from and sign into the account you'll continue to use. 4. Import the ENEX (.enex) files into the account you're going to continue using. Let me know if you have any questions!
  23. The badge icon on the Evernote app is most likely indicating past due Reminders. Swiping down on the notes list and tapping the Reminders icon (looks like an alarm clock) should allow you to view all scheduled and past due Reminders. Scroll through the list to clear the badge from the Evernote app icon. If scrolling through the Reminders list doesn't clear the badge, check Work Chat within the Account Settings for any unread messages.
  24. @Alvin C - Evernote on iOS takes advantage of the Shake-to-Undo feature built into the iOS (Settings > General > Accessibility > Shake to Undo).
