Hi all,
Over the last few months, we’ve introduced a lot of new features and enhancements to Evernote. Now that we’ve stepped up the pace of our app updates, here’s a recap of some of the highlights to make sure you don’t miss out on any recent improvements that you might find helpful:
-
Get the Evernote that’s right for you - We released a new lineup of subscription plans to make it easier for you to get exactly what you need. Whether you want to be more organized, keep your home and family life on track, or be more productive at work, there’s a plan that’s right for you.
-
Easily manage projects and workflows - The new filtered notes widget helps you turn Home into mission control for anything you want to accomplish. It does this by displaying notes based on your chosen criteria alongside related tasks, calendar events, and more—so all the info you need to move your projects forward is front and center.
-
Capture important info, right from Home - Create new entries from your notes, tasks, notebooks, and tags widgets. Click the button in the upper right-hand corner of these widgets to add content, without having to switch your context.
-
Find what you need, faster - Filtered searches help you find your notes based on their attributes, like when you created them or what they contain. Now you can save your filtered searches for future use. Evernote will also suggest filters after you perform a search or add a filter.
-
A smoother note-taking experience - We’ve made enhancements to the editor, so it behaves more intuitively. The editor is now better at recognizing emails and URLs, turning these into clickable links. It’s also better at handling dragging-and-dropping and copying-and-pasting files to and from Evernote.
In addition to releasing updates more frequently, we’re constantly discovering more ways Evernote can be useful to you. Check out these blog posts on how Evernote can help college students be more organized and how fantasy football fans can use it to get a competitive edge.
This is a quick summary of what’s new. For a more detailed rundown, visit our blog. As always, I’m looking forward to hearing about your experience with the latest improvements.
Take care,
Shane

@magnus110 Thank you for reaching out!
This is an issue we're aware of, and working to address.
As a workaround, please try these steps to see if helps to fix the problem.
- Open **Finder**
- From the menu bar select **Go > Go To Folder...**
- Paste `~/Library/Application Support/` (DDL) or `~/Library/Containers/com.evernote.Evernote/Data/Library/Application Support/` (app store) and press **Go**.
- Locate the folder titled `Evernote` and rename it to `Evernote.old`.
- Launch Evernote and try signing in.
Let me know if this issue persists after trying these steps.

Hi All,
On September 13, 2021, Google released a security update that affects link-sharing for Google Drive files. As a result, some links to Google Drive files may show an error in Evernote. The error may state that you are unable to access the linked file or do not have the proper permissions to access it. This will also affect your ability to view the linked file in Evernote—however, you can still click the link to access the file in your web browser.
In order to resolve the issue, you must generate a new shared link from Google and replace it in Evernote. If you are not the document owner or do not have permission to generate a new link, contact the document owner.
In addition, we need to make an update to our note editor to be able to recognize the newly-generated links. We are working quickly to make this update, and plan to release it very soon.
We apologize for the inconvenience and will update this page when the issue has been resolved.

He consistently helped us to identify bugs/issues, offered great product improvement suggestions, and provided guidance and help to other users whenever he could. We're very sad to hear about his passing, and he will be greatly missed.

Hi all.
I hope everyone is making the most of the latest features. I’m checking in today with an exciting announcement about a new widget that unlocks Home for many power users like you and a recap of the recent features we’ve rolled out that will help you do more of the things that matter most.
First, the big news: We're making Home a destination for our power users with the new filtered notes widget. This is rolling out with Evernote version 10.20 (Mac and Windows) and 10.16 (iOS and Android) starting today.
This widget (available with Evernote Personal, Professional, and Teams) makes it easier to see the content you need at a glance by choosing from a selection of filters, such as all notes with a task, all notes with a specific tag, saved searches and many more. It’s a new, meaningful way to keep all the content for a project, class, or workflow simultaneously front and center from the moment you open the app. We've outlined a few key use cases for power users, including GTD, workflows, and multi-project management in our latest blog post.
To add the filtered notes widget, simply click or tap “Customize” in Home. Professional and Teams users can add more than one filtered notes widget.
The filtered notes widget is our most recent feature designed to improve your Evernote experience. In case you missed it, here’s a recap of some other updates in Home we rolled out recently:
-
Calendar widget - With this widget, you can connect Evernote and your Google Calendar to bring your schedule and notes together. Create notes for calendar events and access them quickly later, view your schedule(s) and event details, and open Google Calendar with a click —all from the calendar widget in Home.
-
Tasks widget - Stay on top of it all by adding the Tasks widget to your Home dashboard. See your top 15 tasks, create new tasks, and edit or complete them—all in one place. Only tasks assigned to you show up in the widget.
-
Add multiple versions of the same widget - One of your most-requested features is here. Level up your Home customization by adding multiple versions of the pinned note, filtered notes, and scratch pad widgets, with a maximum of 12 total widgets in any combination.
-
Change the scratch pad color and title - By popular request, you can now change the background color (choose from pink, yellow, blue, and green) and the name of your scratch pad widget in Home. You can make these changes by clicking or tapping “Customize” in Home and then clicking or tapping the pencil “edit” icon on the scratch pad widget.
- Create new items directly from Home - The notes, tasks, tags, and notebooks widgets now have an icon at the top-right, so you can create a new entry with one click, right from Home.
I look forward to hearing from you as you explore these new features. And, if you missed the latest from Ian Small, our CEO, you can read it on our blog.
Take care,
Shane
