Chris Wellington 1
All my passwords were in a note. It has vanished. Not showing in trash. Any suggestions as to whether it may still be recoverable please? Link to comment
Level 5* DTLow 5,744 Posted January 6, 2016 Level 5* Share Posted January 6, 2016 Every time I lose notes my search involves 1. Trash 2. Web Version 3. Other Devices Not too successfully. Evernote is very good at syncing my accidental deletes. My last resort is my html export which I update periodically. I usually can locate lost notes there. Do you have any backups? It's a tiresome process, but you could retrieve a note from there Link to comment
Level 5* CalS 5,307 Posted January 6, 2016 Level 5* Share Posted January 6, 2016 Could you have accidentally changed the title, merged it with other notes, changed the notebook? If the note isn't encrypted search all notes for text in the note. Also, go to list view and do a reverse sort on the updated time column to see the most recently changed notes. Link to comment
Chris Wellington 1
Thanks. Followed Guru's advice. Searched "Apple" hoping it would bring up Apple password. It brought up the empty note titled Password which suggests the content is in the note somewhere but it's not showing....Very much appreciate both of you responding so quickly thanks. Link to comment

Chris Wellington 1
Thanks - but looks like it's all gone. The actual 'note' is still there - but all of the content has disappeared and I certainly didn't delete it. A great forum. I've really appreciated efforts to find a fix thank you. Have a great 2016. Level 5* gazumped 12,039 Posted January 7, 2016 Level 5* Share Posted January 7, 2016 Hi. If you found the note but lost the contents, have you looked into Note History? If you're not currently a Premium member, it may be worth upgrading, even if only for a month... Link to comment
Chris Wellington 1
Touche! That's exactly what I did and was able to easily restore the full content. And print a copy for safekeeping.. Thanks to all who helped. Link to comment

You may want to consider export to ENEX files to backup your Notes. For more info, see this EN Knowledgebase article: How to back up (export) and restore (import) notes and notebooks Link to comment
