Default Notebook

Hello, 

 

I have created a notebook called _inbox and have changed the properties in both Evernote desktop and web and it still does not work. I send emails and they don't go in to this notebook. Anythiing I send a web clip, email or anything in to evernote it lands in the last notebook I was working in. Please let me know how to fix this.

Have you tried changing the underscore prefix in your default notebook to a period? My default notebook is: ".inbox" and it works for me.

I have tested many prefix, ! _ - and all works fine

Perhaps take a look at the web clipper settings. Just to make sure. There are a number of options... And it could be that you keep sending to your last notebook clipped to. Just double check this. Also... Are you adding a "@" to your subject line when sending emails? (@_inbox).

Also, try @"_inbox"

Another thing... Triple check that what you think your default notebook is really is your default notebook. Right click on it on Windows desktop.

Web clips could be because of clipper settings. Email has to be the folder setting doesn't it? Two different issues.

Thank you all, problem solved, I used @"_inbox" to the subject line and it worked. Whew, on problem down, several to go!

Oops, I should have mentioned that as well.  Glad it is working.
