(Archived) error message whenever starting mail.app to send note

i keep getting this error message whenever i use the 'email note' took in Evernote for Mac to email a note. this only happens when mail is not running and evernote calls the app. mail then starts but i have to dismiss the message and hit 'email note' again to send.

Have experienced the same thing consistently.

I work around it, of course, by starting Mail.app before clicking the Email icon in Evernote, but this is still clearly a bug worth fixing at some point.

Same sort of problem for me -- "Unable to email notes." ..-- "An error occured communicating with Apple Mail."

G4 power mac / 1.5Gb memory OS 10.5.6 all known updates installed. Jim Bell (Australia)

This happens to me too. Goes away if Mail is already running.

I checked tonight to see if the latest version has the same problem, and it does. Using Version 1.4.8 (55604).

Easy to duplicate:

1. Be sure Mail is not running

2. Click on a note in Evernote

3. Click the Email button

4. Mail will launch, but nothing happens after that. Eventually you get an Evernote error message reading "An error occurred communicating with Apple Mail."

If Mail is already running this problem does not occur.
