cameronreilly 16
Every time I start a new note I get a beachball for 10 - 20 seconds. Does anyone know how I put a stop to it? Link to comment
Level 5 Jackolicious 808 Posted November 4, 2013 Level 5 Share Posted November 4, 2013 I would submit a support request with a process sample:1. Launch Evernote and Activity Monitor2. Hit New Note in EvernoteWhile Evernote is frozen, quickly open Activity Monitor3. View Menu -> Sample Process Submit the results of that to support and flag for Jack. We'll have a look. Thanks! dplatter 3
I have the same problem. Is there a solution? Link to comment
cameronreilly 16
I never really found one. I was told by EN support to export all of my notes, uninstall EN, reinstall EN, and import my notes. With 9000+ notes, that took HOURS, plus another few hours syncing with the cloud. And it didn't help. I still get the delays. Link to comment
navengler 0
I'm having the exact same problem and have since the last update to evernote. I've checked activity monitor, and it does eat up memory to open a new note, but I don't think it should cause the beachball for ten seconds. Link to comment

Does this issue occur on every new note? Can you provide me with the version number of Evernote as well as OSX on your Mac? Link to comment
