(Archived) REQUEST: Spaced review feature

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Does Evernote it have some feature for "Spaced Repe*****ion", which automatically reminds me to review a note after a specified number of days after creation (e.g. 1, 2, 7 days)?

Spaced repe*****ion is a learning technique that incorporates increasing intervals of time between subsequent review of previously learned material.

These are good links which explains what spaced repe*****ion is and its befits

There are other software like Super memo, Anki but they are all flash card based interface.

Thanks,

Kiran.

Wow! This forum censor is working overtime.

This is nonsense. Let's get real. I'm not a fan of profanity, but I am a strong objector to censorship.

I don't like the government or anyone else "protecting" me from superfluous "harms", like a little bad language, or 20oz soda drinks.

Hi. Welcome to the forums! Sorry that you got caught by the censor from 1984. I think the Evernote staff will have that taken care of shortly.

A kind of tickler "due date" like feature would be nice (that's for you jbenson), so that you could give a note this due date, and the app would remind you about it on that date. I would like that. Even without the feature, I can imagine a third-party app that takes all of the notes in a notebook and randomly feeds them to you according to a schedule you establish. That would be great for reviewing.

Edit: @JM

I think the danger is found in 32 ounce soft drinks. 20 ounce ones are OK :)

LOL. I think the censoring is due to the forum maintenance we recently had, and I think they will get it sorted out soon. We ought to make a collection of all the banned words here just for fun: Japanese, ee *****mings, bass, etc. It looks like Japanese is OK now, and so is bass, but ee *****mings is still a no-no :)

Yes, a third party app would be fine, if they don't have access to my notes data.

Also is there a separate forum or board where this feature can be suggested to third party app developers for Ever Note?

You could go onto the developer's forum here and suggest it.

This is not the government, this is a forum run by a private company, and they can censor as they choose; parti*****tion here is purely voluntary. Unfortunately, the software has this problem known in some circles as a "bug". It's been noted by Geoff, and he's following up with the forum folks. Barring the bad language filtering and spam removal, there is very censorship practiced on the forums.
