TdeV 100 Posted October 22, 2011 Posted October 22, 2011 I'm trying to solve the problem of getting tags to a specific page in a pdf.Let's assume I have a 70 page cookbook from Presto pressure cookers which I've successfully scanned into 1 pdf. Now I want to add tags to particular recipes in the Presto pdf.Can I make a note named "Breaded Pork Chops" which links to page 27?If so, how? If not, can you tell me how to do this? Thanks!
Evernote Expert gazumped 12,642 Posted October 22, 2011 Evernote Expert Posted October 22, 2011 No. It's not possible. You can't open a PDF at a specific page. Of course if you had split that PDF into separate pages, and each page had a separate note, all with the tag "Presto" so you know where they came from, then you could link directly to the Breaded Pork Chops page without any problems...
Level 5* Metrodon 2,188 Posted October 22, 2011 Level 5* Posted October 22, 2011 This isn't currently supported.
TdeV 100 Posted October 23, 2011 Author Posted October 23, 2011 No. It's not possible. You can't open a PDF at a specific page.Sorry, it's quite possible to open a pdf at a specific pagehttp://somewhere.com...adedPorkChop#27would open the pdf specifically at page 27.But, the link to an Evernote does not include a reference to the pdf, at least as far as I know. Maybe this is a question I should ask support.
Owyn 457 Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Gazumped is correct. It is not possible to open a Evernote PDF attachment at a specific page. The Evernote note links (URI) currently can not resolve lower than a specific note.
