*ORIGINAL POST*

Recent update of Evernote for Windows 4.5.1 introduced an issue for the Fujitsu ScanSnap scanner integration. We are working on resolving that issue for the next update, but for now we wanted to offer 2 possible solutions to the affected users:

1) Downgrade to the 4.5.0 version. For this you will need to uninstall the 4.5.1 version of Evernote, and install the 4.5.0 version that you can download from this link: http://evernote.s3.amazonaws.com/win4/p ... 0.5229.exe

Your notes will not be affected by this process.

2) Configure the ScanSnap manager manually:

- In the task tray, right click on the ScanSnap icon and select 'Scan Button Settings'

- Turn off 'Quick Menu'

- Select the Application tab

- Click 'Add/Remove' and add Evernote as an option.

-- Evernote.exe is usually located in C:\Program Files\Evernote\Evernote.exe

- Click Ok to save.

After that you should be able to configure the scanning parameters, such as JPG or PDF and scan directly to Evernote.

For a more detailed explanation, please visit this page http://go.evernote.com/fujitsu and scroll down to the manual setup instructions.

Sorry for the inconvenience. We hope to have this issue resolved in the near future.

Well - 4.5.2.5517 didn't magically recover "Scan to EN" option in quick-menu-mode ScanSnap.

For clarity what should be restored is: the ability to add "Scan to EN (pdf)" and "Scan to EN (jpg)" in the options dialog which pops up after a scan.

I do not want to direct all scans to EN. I need the ability to select between multiple options at point of scanning. EN has disappeared from the options.

I'm using an S300, guess this is the model a bit older than the S1300, but otherwise identical. So using the help menu, I'm not being offered an upgrade to V5 (using 4.2 at the moment)

Is it possible to upgrade to V5.1L41 on an S300 and if yes, how?

Mlun,

Not sure if the v5 will be coming to S300. Technically, the S300 never had an Evernote integration, so this issue would affect it. You should be able to configure scanning to Evernote manually, by selecting the scanning destination as the C:\Program Files\Evernote\Evernote.exe (or wherever you installed Evernote). Hope this helps.

I'm a bit confused over this. My Fujitsu is already set up with Evernote as a "New application" pointing to the Evernote program, and with scans landing in the folder specified in Evernote. So will I be affected by this update in a way that I can't sort out afterwards? Find it a bit strange that I regularly receives notifications about new updates, but when accepting to install these it says there is nothing to install. When I manually try to search for updates I'm told that my version is up-to-date (4.5.0.5229 - 167496 public)
