Jayze 7
Hi, my company decided to block Evernote URL. Causing my Evernote (10.76.2) not being able to create a new note. The new note pops up shortly, but then disappears again. Is there a way I can create a new note without having connection to the Evernote URL ? Jay Link to comment

Jayze 7
that perhaps might work, but I just want to create a new note in my Evernote and later on (at home) it can sync, but at work I would like to be able to take notes. Emailing them won't help. Jay Link to comment

Creating a note by email is pretty much the same as typing directly into a note body; you're just using an email client instead of Evernote.com. I get that if you're mailing from work your activities will be very trackable, but if you use anything connected to their internal network, it's not going to be private. Your other options could be using a phone or tablet, or perhaps setting the notes up in a word processor to take files home (thumb drive?) and import them later. Link to comment

Jayze 7
That is the whole issue, they block it (web) and via email, that would work as well, but there is no sync with the web, since that is blocked. When I click on the "+" to create a new note, it doesn't work. So how can I use it in offline mode? Jay Link to comment

Unless you can kill your network connection, use airplane mode or otherwise convince the device you're using that it is offline, you're going to run into this issue - and as soon as the device went back online it will probably try to use the local network and you'll attract the attention of your local network managers... which is often a bad thing. Best advice would be to use a tablet which you keep offline at work but can connect when you get home... Link to comment
Jayze 7
Thanks for the advice! I was hoping to force Evernote to "offline" mode somehow? Another work around I found, creating a bunch of new notes and using them when I need to start taking notes. It's not elegant, but it works 1 Link to comment
