redmondm0 8
Although I do export monthly my most important notebooks, I would like a way of backing up my entire EN database. The settings menu in the Windows desktop version says that EN local data is stored in %AppData%\Evernote. Couldn't I just copy that location, say, to hard disk? Michael Link to comment
Level 5 Dave-in-Decatur 4,006 Posted February 6 Level 5 Share Posted February 6 On my Windows 10 machine, it's %AppData%\Roaming\Evernote\. But yes, I think copying that would get all the data. Obviously (AFAIK) it could only be read by Evernote, not e.g. imported to another program. Link to comment
Level 5* Solution gazumped 12,077 Posted February 7 Level 5* Solution Share Posted February 7 The 'official' way to backup your data is by downloading and exporting notebooks from the server to ENEX / HTML / PDF files from a desktop app. If you have a large number of notebooks this needs to be automated somehow. There's a Github project (Evernote-Backup) which will do this for you. Link to comment
