zenitsky 7
I just purchased an Apple Pencil and am exited to use it with some of my favorite apps, especially Evernote. After doing a bit of research I realized that I needed to download Penultimate to sync with Evernote. However, when I tried to download it in the App Store I keep getting a message saying, "This app is currently not available in your country or region". That seems strange since I live in Central Ohio. I am running the most current iPad OS 17.2. Anyone with some knowledge about this, please let me know. Link to comment
Evernote Expert agsteele 3,064 Posted December 31, 2023 Evernote Expert Share Posted December 31, 2023 Penultimate is no longer available for new downloads. If already installed you can continue but once uninstalled it cannot be installed on a new device. I understand that it isn't possible to support the app and use is very low. 1 Link to comment
Level 5 PinkElephant 8,921 Posted January 1 Level 5 Share Posted January 1 I think this is the first step to remove it altogether. Not a big loss, given the very old code and feature base of these apps Link to comment
Solution zenitsky 7 Posted January 1 Author Solution Share Posted January 1 Thanks for this information and your quick response. I hope that Evernote can come up with additional ways to integrate handwriting functionality into their app beyond Sketch. 1 Link to comment
Level 5 PinkElephant 8,921 Posted January 1 Level 5 Share Posted January 1 Personally I doubt they will. Handwriting doesn’t match well with the data format of the notes. If you want a direct sync, give Noteshelf a try. Link to comment
ngc5904 0
Sadly, Noteshelf seems to be dead. Can't download from the App Store or find it anywhere. Link to comment

I apologize for the delay. Noteshelf's website is located here: https://www.noteshelf.net/ Noteshelf 3 is alive and well. 1 Link to comment
ngc5904 0
Thanks for the info. I’ve managed to download it. Is there any way to have the notes post to already created Evernote folders? It seems that I can only post to another folder called koteshelf, and then recreate all my topics within that. other than that, it’s great! Link to comment

In my personal experience, moving Penultimate notes from the Penultimate notebook used to break things… so I'm a little reticent to move the Noteshelf notes from their notebook. I would recommend checking Noteshelf support to see if that's a thing you can do with Noteshelf 3. https://noteshelf-support.fluidtouch.biz/hc/en-us ✌️ 1 Link to comment
