Cannot create new notes with less than 50 notes

As title, anyone could help me? I have 42 notes plus 6 in the trash but the software doesn't want me to create new notes

Hi.  Do you have more than 1 notebook?  Have you tried clearing the trash?

Also, to add to Gazump's suggestion, 42+6 is very close to 50.  I'm wondering if the note count on your two devices is the same.  Assuming that you are using the web client as one of your devices, does the web client agree that you have 48 notes or is it possible you are at 50 or more there?   I know this is unlikely, but it may be worth a look.

Otherwise, are you able to merge notes?  If you merge some notes to lower the number of notes in your account, does that help?
