If I deactivate my EN account, will my "existing" subscription be deleted by Evernote??

Hello, I subscribed to EN Personal yesterday. After payment, I found my account had been upgraded. Then, I accidentally de-activated my account, and when I re-activated the account, I found my new subscription, which I purchased an hour ago was not showing! I am on the FREE tier.

It was not completely accidental. I was checking the de-activation section. I intended to go to the last step of de-activation (check what steps are included), there would be a Big 'RED' button which would warn me and I would go back. But, actually, in the Second Step when I clicked on the 'GREEN/WHITE' 'Next' Button, my account suddenly got deactivated. Then, I thought it was not a big issue, I might re-activate my account.

I re-activated my account following the steps; clicking on the reactivation link, setting a new password, and login again. I found all my notes are present but my subscription has gone. I got totally scared 😹. I subscribed just 60 minutes ago before this accident. Will my subscription amount be forfeited by EN? 😭

Please can anybody help me? As I am no longer on the Paid plan, I can't access the chat option. I submitted a Ticket.

I have found that EN has a 60-day refund policy and It's just one day since I subscribed to EN. Can/Should I claim a refund?  I paid via card on the EN website.

Hi.  I haven't deactivated any accounts recently so don't know exactly what happens to the subscription,  but I'm sure it's not forfeit - it would either be refunded to you or your deactivation delayed until the the current payment expired.  See if this information helps you with reactivation - Reactivate your Evernote account - and contact support here if you can't seem to get your access back.  https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?guest=true - use the issue type "Account"

Thank you for your attention @gazumped. Yes, I had done the exact process to reactivate my account. And, now my account is active, I can see my notes here. But,  my account is downgraded to the Free tier.

Your assurance that EN will not forfeit my Subscription is giving me some confidence. If they refund my amount that will be great. But, I can't understand what the second probable reason you have told.

Yes. That may be. Because, after payment, I was redirected to a confirmation page where, it was written, I would be emailed my payment receipt. But, I had not received any mail. Means, my payment was till processing.

 

And actually it was less than 60 minutes, maybe 5-10 minutes, after subscribing, installing the app on my devices, and I was checking the account section, and interested on the Deactivation option đŸ„Č.

Yes, I have submitted a ticket. Waiting for their response. I will be happy if they enable subscription on my account or refund my money back. Both options are good.

Hello Friends,

Quick UPDATE: My account has been upgraded to EN Personal.

3 days have passed, and finally, I have got the reply to my Support Ticket. So, Their statement is,

Reviewing  our  records,  it  appears  an  error  occurred  that  prevented  the  notification  for  this  charge  from  reaching  our  system  and  updating  your  account.  I  sincerely  apologize  for  this  delay  in  the  upgrade  of your  service.

I’ve  set  it  so  that  your  account  reflects  your  purchased  subscription.

He has also offered me the refund option if I want. So, I have decided to keep the subscription. But, one thing I want to mention, it was a very bad experience, I got. Waiting for 3 days! It was feeling very helpless. Evernote's Twitter handle is like a bot, same reply to all supports.

So, today, just one hour ago, before their reply, I submitted another Ticket asking for a Refund. And suddenly I got the mail that my problem had been solved. So, until the Customer takes the last step, they will not reply!!!

I think that just means that their autoresponder works better than the payment upgrade system!  I'm glad you received a response anyway - if you have any more issues,  please feel free to raise them here - we may not be able to help but at least we can offer sympathy... ;)
